Bearlymine Designs Challenge #37 - "A Card with a Animal On"

Good Morning Everyone, now this post is going to be scheduled so I do hope it appears on time, if not I will try and post it remotely, as at the moment Im in Cornwall enjoying a few days with my friends from Guernsey and their dear little boy, whos just reached a year old, will tell you all about it when I get back.
Todays Challenge for Bearlymine is our 37th and for this one we want to see a "Animal" on your card, I know that there are lots of images out there so it shouldnt be a problem for you. And for this Challenge we are being sponsered by:-

And for my card I decided to use a Saturated Canary Image.

And I printed her onto white card and used my copic pens to colour her, then she was cut out by rotatrim and mounted onto a piece of blue card also cut with my rotatrim. The sentiment is one from my stash and was treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount Ive used a piece of blue card, and the papers are from Donna's Bearlymine "Spring Flight" digi paper set and you will find them here, for the first layer I have used a blue background with daisies on and for my second is a pink one thats been cut in a strip and on one edge Ive a Martha Steward border punch, on top is a yellow strip with white daisies on.
The mounted image was then positioned in the centre, the sentiment is at the bottom on the right hand side, to finish of I have used some of the Cherry Blossoms in two colours and pink angel tears with pearl sprays, these were stuck to the card with silicone glue and punched out fern leaves in the bottom left hand corner. And the final flourish is three pink pearls down the top right hand side.
Now that youve seen this card I do hope that you will go and visit The Bearlymine Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for this weeks "Card with a Animal On" Challenge, hopefully it will inspire you also to take part in it.

A Card for Saturated Canary "Bookmark" Challenge

Good Afternoon Everyone, I hope your enjoying your weekend so far, Im a bit annoyed I washed a door curtain this morning, and went into the garden to take it down, but before I did that I decided to remove the wind chimes as they were making one hell of a racket, and you can guess what happened the wind blew my beautiful clean curtain around it, and of course it left huge green marks all over it, so into the wash its gone again. Just hope we dont get any more blibs in the power as weve already had one today, its so annoying as I was in the course of downloading my photos onto my computer when it went of, we had two yesterday afternoon.
Anyway thats enough of that chatter, this card today or I should say bookmark is for the Saturated Canary Challenge this week, this little cutie was the free download that I got from them and Ive printed it onto white card then used my copics to colour her, it was then cut out with one of the Go-Kreate Tag dies, and I decided it looked a bit bland and decided to stick some lace around the edge before sticking it to a mount, to finish of Ive stuck a ribbon to the top and a little rose in the centre between the tabs. Its a simple design as I didnt want to make it to thick so you would be unable to use as a bookmark.

Guest Designer for Party Time Tuesdays

About a month ago we were invited to do a guest spot for Party Time Tuesday Challenge Blogspot by Danie, and several of both teams decided to give it a go, the Challenge is "Vintage/Shabby Chic" theme and I decided to take part with my fellow Team Leader Marie.
And here is my card.

I decided to use this gorgeous "Spring Breeze" image for my card and you will find that here, Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a square Nestabilitie Die to cut her out, for the mount I used the Leaf Square and used pink card for this.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card and for my papers I have used "Victorian Beauty" and you will find them here.  The first paper is a very pretty pink patterned background which I have distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz tool and then on top I have used a green one and I have torn the edges on both sides to create a strip which was then placed down the middle. I then used some vintage lace across the center and vintage ribbon along the top both these were stuck to the back of the first mount,
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of I have tied a bow with some of the vintage ribbon and stuck to the left of the image and tucked a couple of hat pins behind it, and the last little flourish is the pink pearls down the right hand side.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope you go and visit Party Time Tuesday Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the team have created for you, and hopefully it will inspire you to take part in this "Vintage/Shabby Chic" Challenge.

Good Morning All, I hope youve had a good weekend, I have, Ive been in charge of taking the dog for a walk while hubby has been volunteering, hes does work with the local restoration Steam Railway and he does love it so I suppose I ought accept it, though at times it does rather take over our weekends.
Anyway back to this fortnights challenge over on Cards for Men and for this one we are being sponsered by Meljens, and we want to see the word "Congratulations" on your card somewhere.

And they are offering a prize of 4 digi images of your own choice, and here is what Melissa says about her company.

Meljen's Designs is a lovely stamp company owned and illustrated by Melissa Jenkins. She illustrates whimsical rubber and digital images inspired by her kids and family. Please visit the Meljen's Designs line of stamps at  http://www.meljensdesigns.com/ and browse and enjoy Melissa's wonderful images!

And we were lucky enough to be given several images to play with and I decided as I have two friends who are expecting this year I would throw caution to the wind and make a new baby boy card just in case one of them did have a boy.

And of course its Mr.Stork delivering his little buddle, Ive printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him, afterwards I cut him out with my rotatrim, the mount was done in the same way. The sentiment was created on my computer and printed and mounted in the same way as my image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and Ive used just one paper from one of my New Baby paper Pads. The pram diecut is one of the Marieanne dies and has been placed in the bottom left hand corner, afterwards I mounted my image towards the right with the sentiment below.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit the Cards for Men Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you also will want to create a "Congratulations" card for a special occassion.

A Card for Sugary Sunday and Sugar Bowl Challenges

Good Evening Everyone, I know Im late but its been a busy day, we always go swimming twice a week and today was one of those days, I really need the exercise so I have to put my mind into trying to more lengths each time I go, but it doesnt always happen but I did manage to do 22 today so at least it made a difference after only managing 14 on Tuesday. Todays card has been created for this fortnights Sugar Bowl Challenge and the Sugary Sunday on on Facebook that is a colour one and here the colours theyve chosen for this week.
A bit of a difficult choice to play with, but I think Ive covered them all, there is a bit of the light blue in her wings if you look a bit closer you can see it. Ive used "Rosie" from Funky Kits and stamped her onto white card before using my copic pens to colour her, the Nestabilitie Die No.1 is what I used to cut her out and a larger one for the mount. The sentiment is yet another from my stash and has also been mounted on a piece of pink card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card, the papers I have used are the Authentique "Uncommon" Im sure there must be another name for it but this is the one I found on the front. Anyway the first paper is a cream/beige background with roses on in black, pink and red, then on top is a dark grey script paper thats been placed across the first mount then on top is a patterned paper in circles thats been stuck down the card. I then positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the left hand side.
I have also used one of the Die-namics swirl die to cut out in pink card this has been stuck down the right handside, then I used some of the left over script paper with the Royal Rose rolled die from Die-namics cut it out then rolled it up and placed it at the top of the swirl. To finish of I have used 6  black pearls in two sizes down the left and right hand sides.

The Bearlymine Designs #65 Challenge - "Dies"

Good Morning Everyone, I hope you are enjoying the lovely weather weve been having over the last few days, we even managed to get a bit of gardening done while it was dry, you know what they say you must make hay while the sun shines, and I think weve not quite done that but at least its looking a little tidier. Anyway back to this weeks Challenge over on the Bearlymine Designs Challenge and this week we want to see you cards on which youve used "Dies" now I know if your anything like me youve got loads of them so it shouldnt be a problem. And weve even got one of the most gorgeous of die creators sponsering us this time and that is:-

And they do have the most beautiful dies on the market, and this is the gorgeous Waltzing Matilda Die they are offering as a prize.
And here is my card I created for this "Die" Challenge.

For my image I have used this gorgeous TeddyBea image, Ive coloured her with my copic pens then used the circle Nestabilite Die to cut her out, and for the mount I have used one of the beautiful "Cheery Lynn" circle dies, and my sentiment is one from my stash which I felt went well with my image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the first mount is a green card and for my papers I have used Donna's "Spring Blossoms" papers you will find them here, then across the centre I have wrapped a piece of vintage lage and a piece of green heart ribbon which were attached to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then placed in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. I have used two flower emphany buttons and these where stuck at the top and bottom on the left hand side, I did thread some white ribbon through them both then tied it into a bow before doing this. And the last thing is with some left over paper I used one of the rolled flower dies to create three flowers for the top right hand corner, these were stuck on with some punched out leaves.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit our Bearlymine Designs Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part also in this weeks "Dies" Challenge.

Well anyway back to my card, this is for this weeks colour Challenge over on Facebook
yes I know its a strange combination of colours and I couldnt quite make my mind up how to use them, anyway as I had already started to colour up my Ribbonista image I thought oh well lets go for it and Ive used the colours as you can see in my image. I then used my large rectangle Nestabilitie Die to cut it out, and mounted it onto a piece of yellow card, the sentiment is one from my stash.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the first mount is a 3piece of yellow card and Ive used three papers from the Sweetshope Digi Downloads and this one is called "Fit to Burst" the first paper is an all over flower design on a cream background, I then used my Martha Stewart border and corner punches on the second piece of orange paper, and for my third is a yellow damask pattern paper and has been mounted on yet more yellow card and placed across the middle of the card.
My mounted image was then positioned in the centre with the sentiment was placed down the left hand side of the card. To finish of I have punched out two leaf flourishes that have been placed on the right hand side, and then I used two left over papers from the same set of papers and these were then used with two different sized Royal Rose rolled dies from Die-namics, then rolled up and stuck on top of the flourishes.

Good Evening Everyone, I thought I would have a go at this weeks Mo's "Tickle my Funny Bone" challenge, as you can see this cheeky little one has found a bar of chocolate to eat, and I felt it was just right for this Challenge. Ive printed it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used the Nestabilitie Square Die to cut it out and created a mount for it out of blue card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the first mount is a yellow card with one of three papers from the "Nitwits" Goodie Gumdrops digi paper set, this first one is a yellow background with lots of lollipops and sweets on, the second has gum drops on a white background and the third yet more sweets on a blue background.

The Paper Shelters 63rd Challenge - "Anything Goes"

Good Morning Everyone, well I do hope that you had a lovely bank holiday weekend, mine was a busy one, hubby went and did his volunteer job with the local steam railway on Saturday and then on Sunday we did our monthly shop, not exactly exciting but at least a necessary job. Anyway this weeks Challenge for The Paper Shelter is "Anything Goes" I know how much us crafters enjoy this challenge and Im sure there will lots of entrants for it, and of course as always we are being sponsered by Veronica and Pedro from The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize.

And they are offering a prize of $20. to spend on their website The Paper Shelter, unfortunately to qualify for this prize you must have used one of their products on your card, but at least if you havent they are still offering a prize of 3 digi images of your own choice, so you really carnt loose with this Challenge.
And here is my card for this Challenge.

And for my card I have used "Little Miss Grumpy" and you will find her here, I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I cut her out with Nestabilitie Die Labels No.18 and then used the die again to draw around to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one from my stash which I though was quite appropriate for this little Madam.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount I have used is a deep purple card and on top I have used a backing paper that came actually with the image, so when you buy  the image you also receive this paper. I then used a doily cut with one of the Cheery Lynn Dies, this one is the Pastry one and I have inked the edges with one of my inkpads, then around the middle I wrapped two ribbons that have been attached to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then positioned in the centre and the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. I then cut out two swirls (which I have had for quite awhile) from the same purple card and these were positioned both sides of the image, I also used some of the left over paper (I actually printed out a second one) and with one of my rolled flower dies I created a flower for the top left hand corner which has been attached to the card with silicone glue on top of punched out leaves. The last flourish is the flower buttons that have had some ribbon threaded through the holes and tied in knots, these were stuck in the top let hand corner.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope you go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of my very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this weeks "Anything Goes" Challenge.

Ive printed him onto white card and then used my copic pens to colour him, afterwards I used my rotatrim to cut him out and stamped the sentiment and mounted them both in the same way on some dark blue card.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of blue card, and the papers are ones I found on the interenet and I have placed the first one a dark blue paper with lots of cycles on, the second is a sentiment one and Ive used a Martha Stewart border punch down the edge and placed it on top of the first one.
The mounted image was then positioned towards the left and the sentiment below on the right hand side.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugery Sunday Challenges

Good afternoon Everyone, I dont know how your coping with all this wet weather but my poor dog comes back soaked most days, does this mean we are in for another wet summer I do so hope not, only time will tell. Anyway back to todays card, this one was created for the Sugar Bowl "Sketch" Challenge and for the Sugary Sunday Facebook Colour Challenge.
Not the most easy of colour charts but I do hope you think Ive managed to use them in one way or another, the image is one of the Ribbonista girls this one is called "Belle" and Ive stamped her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, I then used my large rectangle die from Nestabilities and this was mounted onto a larger piece of card. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of orange/pink card and the papers Ive used are from Sweet Shoppe Digi Downloads, and this set is called "Grace" I love the colours and patterns, the first paper is a all over small flower pattern and the second one which is a little difficult to see but it has large flower heads on, the third is a damask paper in brown and this one was mounted down the card with some cream paper streamers tied around it.
I then positioned my mounted image towards the left and the sentiment down the bottom on the right hand side, to finish of I have used several of the left over papers and the Royal Rose Die-namics rolled flower dies, to create the flower spray in the top right hand corner, these were stuck to the card with silicone glue on top of some punched out fern leaves.

and they are offering a fabulous prize of $20 to spend on their website and when I tell you they have some stunning images, papers and accessories, you will love them.
And here is my card for the Challenge.

This image is called "Sharing an Umbrella" and you will find it here, Ive printed it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1 to cut it out, and a larger one for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of dark purple card, and the two papers I have used are from Donna's "Spring Blossom" digi paper set and you will find them here. They are the same pattern of daisies but in lavendar and blue, and across the middle from corner to corner I have used a white ribbon with spots on.
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. Then used a Memory box corner dies and cut out two pieces which I have placed in opposite corners, afterwards I used the Nestabilite spiral flower die to cut out with some of the left over paper a flower that I have rolled and stuck in the top left hand corner on top of some punched out leaves.
