A Card for the Totally PaperCrafts Challenge

Good Morning Ladies hope that you are enjoying your weekend, the weather is still threatening some more snow but hopefully it will pass us by but I wouldnt bank on it. Anyway todays card has been created for this weeks challenge by Totally Papercrafts, its to be in "Untraditional Colours" and Ive chosen pink, lime green and lavendar hope you like the results.
I used this cute image of Tilda with the deer horns on her head then masked her and stamped the Noel stamp so its behind her, then coloured her with my copic pens, because the image was to big for my Nestabilities I cut it out with my rotatrim and mounted it onto a piece of lavendar pearlescent card, the sentiment is one of the new LOV seal stamps and this was also mounted in the same way.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first layer of lavendar card with one of five papers from the Kay Millers "Winter Magic" downloads, its got lots of different colour Christmas papers and the first one Ive used is the lavendar one with flowers on, and the second paper Ive used is a lime green one with trees on this was cut into a 5" square and Ive used the holly all around punches and then laid it on top of the base layer, on top of this Ive put a oblong piece in pink card with a third paper this one is a pink design like the lavendar one, and across the middle is yet another design, this one again in lavendar circles one a white background and Ive used the same holly punch along the edges of this one, then on top Ive used my last paper a sentiment one in several colours on a white background.
I then positioned my mounted image in the middle and my sentiment at the bottom on the right, I also cut two swirls with my Marieanne dies and these were put on the left hand side top and bottom of my card with a few mauve pearls positoned amount the swirls. Then to finish of Ive created a flower spray with one hellibore and two sprays of purple heather mounted on some silicone glue a some punched out holly leaves, the last thing Ive done is run some purple stickles around the petal edges and in the heather flower centres.

A Card for the Lili of the Valley Challenge - "A Sketch by Bev"

Good Evening Ladies, hope the weather isnt to bad where you are, its still rather cold here in Gloucestershire which I rather expect its the same with you. This card has been created for the Lili of the Valley Challenge "A Sketch by Bev" and Ive used this little sweetie for my card and stamped her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens and cutting her out with the labels 10 then drew around the edge of the same size die to make a mount for it, the sentiment is another of the LOV seal stamps thats  been treated in the same way.
The base card is 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of red card with one of two papers from Donna's Bearlymine Designs this one is "Christmas Frolics" and this first one is an all over sentiment one in red and white, on top of this I have put another strip of red card with the second paper another sentiment pattern one but this time in swirls in red and white, across the card I have wrapped a piece of lace and white ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I then poistioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the left hand side. To finish of Ive created a flower spray with two poinsettas, some holly berries and punched out holly leaves these were then arranged on the card at the top on the right and stuck down with some silicone glue.

A Challenge Card for Just Magnolia

Good Morning Ladies and I have no doubt its extremely cold in your neck of the woods, we had a light snow shower over night and the bird bath looks more like a skateing rink again and no doubt I shall be getting some rather rude looks from the birds when they find out.
Before I start with todays card I have to thank you all so much for giving me a really Wonderful Day yesterday, all the lovely birthday wishes from so many of you and the beautiful things you said as well, you made me blush to the roots but thank you it really made me feel so loved. I had two gorgeous bouquets, one from my daughter and one from a very lovely lady blogger friend of mine and Im not going to say her name she knows who she is, and some beautiful craft presents from my very lovely German friends, so girls THANK YOU for turning it into a wonderful day. My dear husband bought me a smart phone, hes now having trouble getting it set up I truly wasnt expecting to get anything as hed spoilt me rotten when we went to the NEC but he surprised me yesterday by taking me into the Carphone Warehouse and buying it for me, so thank you sweetheart you are the only one for me, and a pair of beautiful sheepskin bootee slippers to they are really toasty.
Now down to business todays card has been created for this weeks Just Magnolia challenge, its a sketch by Donalda, and Ive used this fabulous image of Tilda dressed up with a bauble and I image its a streamer in the other hand, anyway Ive stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her. Afterwards I used the rectangle Nestabilitie to cut her out and the scalloped one for the mount. The sentiment is yet another of the Magnolia stamps and this was treated in the same way.
The base card this time is a 6"x 6" white card with two of the Nitwit Downloads papers, this one is called "Joyful Hearts" and the first pattern is a red base with white snowflake design on, the second mount is a white base with lots of coloured fir tree pattern, under this I have used a strip of red pearlescent paper on which Ive used the fir tree border punch from Martha Stewart.
To finish of Ive created two snowflakes with some crushed glitter and mounted them at the bottom of the card on the right hand side.

Thank You

This is just a very short post to thank so many of you for the lovely birthday greetings youve been sending me, especially Rach, Kim, Mary and Shannon, Christine, Elaine, Patty, and those that were left in my comments, thank you so much for thinking and remembering its my birthday today.
I even had a bit of shock when I turned my Wii on this morning the little wii board had a party hat on it and when I clicked on it I had all these streamers and banners explode, cheeky thing it even told me that I was 68 today, who told it that, I dont remember putting my date of birth in the details but you never know I must have done or hubby did.
We are of out to dinner presently just waiting for the post girl to come, and guess what Ive just opened the front door to the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers and theyve come from my eldest daugher Karen, they are fabulous, I even had a phone call from her son my eldest grandson last night and that was something special as well, hes in the RAF.
Again thank you so much it does make me feel extra special and Im so grateful to you all, thank you and bless you all.

A Card for two Challenges

Well you are in for a second post today as tomorrow is my Birthday and we are expecting to go out for the day so I thought as Id made such a boo boo over the LOV card that I would treat you to another one instead. This one has been created for Mo's "Swirls and Flourishes" and Cute Card's "Blast from the Past",  Ive created this card with the Sketch from Claudia from Challenge 117, and Ive used this fabulous image of Mo's "Santas Helper's" this is one of pair of cuties, and Ive printed him onto white card then coloured him with my copic pens. I then used the Labels 17 from Nestabilities and drew around the die edge to create the mount, the sentiment is one of the new LOV seal stamps and this was punched out with the circle and scalloped dies from Nestabilities.
The base card 7"x 7" white card with a first layer of lime green pearlescent card and one of three papers from Donnas Bearlymine "Christmas Joy" digi paper set and this first paper is an all over lime green colour with red and dark green poinsetta flowers, the second paper is a Father Christmas design and the third paper is a base of yellow with again the same poinsetta flowers, to finish of I used my sewing machine all around the edges, I did try to find a swirl stitch but the machine I used didnt have one so its a zigzag one instead.
The card has been made up according to the sketch and on top of this I have positioned three flourishes that have been punched out with the Marianne flourish dies, and positioned in three of the corners, I then put my image in the middle and my sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side.
To finish of I created a flower spray with two white and one red poinsetta and three punched out holly leaves from Martha Stewart, and arranged in a corner on the top left hand side.

A Card for LOV Challenge - "Glitter and Glitz"

Good Morning Ladies, hope that you are fit and well today, it was such a beautiful day yesterday not sure what today is going to be like it was certainly very frosty first thing for sure I do hope that youve not got snow in your neck of the woods today as I think its to early in the winter for that, but I suppose it doesnt matter what I think.
Todays card has been created for the LOV challenge "Glitter and Glitz" and Ive used this gorgeous little miss throwing a tantrum, and yes most of my daughters and granchildren have all carried on like this so its not surprising that it appealed to me. Anyway Ive stamped her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens, then used some fine glitter on her skirt and tiara, then cut her out with my square Nestabilitie die, Ive then cut a mount out of a piece of lime green card and used the scalloped one for this. The sentiment was generated on my computer and printed it out onto white card before using a rectangle die on this and a scalloped one for the mount.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with three papers from Kay Miller Downloads "Its a Spring Thing" she does create some fabulous papers and this set is not exception, Ive used a lime green background with small flowers on, the second and third mounts have been covered with first a yellow gingham on one and another flower paper but this time in white with multi coloured flowers on, across the middle I have wrapped a piece of lace and attached it to the back of the first mount.
Ive then positioned my mounted image towards the right hand side, and my sentiment at the bottom on the left. To finish of Ive created a ribbon flower with a strip of lime green organza ribbon and on top of this Ive popped a net flower thats got beads in the centre, this is one of the Prima ones. I had to use ribbon as this card is destined for a child and I didnt think they would approve of my usual flower sprays, so lets hope they will like this ribbon flower instead.

Ive used this gorgeous Tilda image I stamped her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens then used the oval Nestabilitie to cut her out, then Ive used two oval dies for the mount the crowned oval and the beaded oval and mounted them up together, then used some gold coloured gems on each of the oval around the edge.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card and Ive used a piece of gold mirri board for my first layer and on top of this I have layered up a piece of white card on which I have used some gold, white and holographic powder and embossed it with my heat gun, Ive used a several snowflake stamps for this. Then Ive cut if out and used it for my first layer, on top of this I have used a strip of white pearlescent card and run it through my cuttlebug with a snowflake embossing folder, then down the edges Ive used the Martha Stewart snowflake border punch and then stuck it on top of the bottom layer, across the middle I have wrapped a white gold and white ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.

A Card for Mo's Challenge - "3 Punches"

Good Morning Ladies, hope that you are all fit and well and that the weather is dry with you, it was here yesterday but very dull I dont mind that as long as it doesnt start raining. Todays card has been created for this weeks Mo's Challenge "3 Punches" and Ive used this sweet image of these children hanging up their Stockings on the fireplace you will find it here I sincerely hope that they arnt leaning across a fire thats alight or they could be in a dangerous situation, I know Ive always kept a fireguard in front of any fireplace I had while the children were little.
Anyway Ive printed it onto white card then coloured it with my copic pens, I then cut it out with the square Nestabilitie die, now Ive got to own up that its not quite square, I know I put it square in the cuttlebug but I think it must have moved when I ran it through it, so please forgive me for that, I didnt want to waste the image so Ive used it for this card, I also cut a eyelet square for the mount out of red card.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first layer of red card with again two papers from the beautiful "Christmas Dreams" from Donnas new Digi Papers I love these papers they are really so pretty, and the first one is a red one with the flower spray on the left hand side, down the middle I have used a sentiment one and used the Hollyedge Martha Stewart border punch down both sides, and then across the bottom I have stuck a white ribbon with a sentiment on.
I then positioned the mounted image in the middle and at the top Ive put a spray of white and red poinsettas and some punched out holly leaves that Ive used a ball tool on to mark the veins of the leaves these were stuck at the top on the right with some silicone glue. To finish of Ive used four punched out snowflakes and created two mounted ones and some crushed glass glue and these were stuck at the bottom on the left hand side.

Ive then stuck this to a red mount and wrapped a red holly ribbon around the middle before placing my mounted image in the middle, I have done exactly the same with the inside though its not possible to see the ribbon but I assure you its there, and I then stamped one of the new LOV seal stamps, this was also mounted on a scalloped circle for its mount and positioned at the bottom on the right hand side as a means of keeping the card open.

Sample No.4 for Sarah - "Meerkats"

Good Morning Ladies, I do hope you ae enjoying your weekend, well Ive finished all the samples for Sarah and this is sample No.4 these absolutely gorgeous Meerkats and Ive got to say its hubbys most favourite animal, hes even got Alexander as his mobile phone ringtone, that shows you how nuts he is over that character.
Anyway Ive created a pyramid topper for this one, and printed it onto semi-gloss paper then cut it out by hand after which Ive then created a mount for it by drawing around the image and cutting out again by hand. Afterwards I started to mount up all the layers with the silicone glue, then left it to dry.
The base card is a 8"x 8" white card with a first layer of green card with one of two papers that Ive used for this card, I should say that Ive used two more from the same set for the inside. The base layer is a beautiful jungle paper with a misty looking background, and then on top Ive used one of the other then cut it into a strip and used again one of my Martha Border punches down each side then positioned it to the right hand side, across the bottom I used a ribbon strip that I took into a graphics program to put a sentiment on, this was then stuck at the bottom of the base card. I then positioned my mounted pyramid image towards the left hand side.
I will be keeping back the last two samples to show you nearer the preview program time as tomorrow I have my DT card for Cards for Men to show you.

Sarahs Sample No. 3 - Giraffe's

Good Morning Ladies,  well in Gloucestershire its raining and hubby is out volunteering again today, he helps at the local Steam Engine Restoration Society, they have a small line and three stations in the Forest that they are trying to bring back to life again, hubby is helping with trying to rebuild the signal system, theres a signal box theyve got to start on in the New Year in Parkend, the society is called The Forest of Dean Railway and its based at Norchard, so if you are down this neck of the woods and want to visit please do, and at Christmas they have special steam train events for the children as well as the adults.
Im so pleased that you like the cards Ive been creating for Sarah, they are definitely out of my comfort zone but I suppose Im going back to how I actually started creating cards, Ive known Sarah for about 5 years and have been using her beautiful Cds for along time, its only over the last couple of years since blogging that I have got more into stamps, so its back to my roots really, dabbling in this type of card. And Sarah has asked me to create six cards for her this time using the toppers so you will have to forgive if some of them are similar, I will try and change the card design and layout as much as possible.
Anyway todays card is this beautiful pair of Giraffe's and Ive created a gateleg for these two, it seemed a shame to leave one of when they were of the same size. Ive printed the toppers onto semi-gloss paper and cut them out by hand and even the mounts were done in the same way then I used my scalloped scissors around the edge just to take the plainess of.
The base card is a 8"x 8" card which has been folded in three and Ive used three papers for this one, Sarah always gives you a choice of four backing paper designs all with corresponding colour and design which matches the topper. The first one is lovely Savannah one with the giraffes in the bottom right hand corner, this was cut into two equal pieces and mounted on green card, then across the middle I have used another of the paper designs which has a skin pattern on, not that its easy to see but Ive used my Martha Stewart border punch on these and stuck them so the marry up in the middle, then Ive gone into my graphics program and created a sentiment strip with the ribbons for the top.
On the inside Ive used a fabulous paper with giraffe's going down the page for the insert this was also mounted on green card, the back of the two front pieces Ive done the same thing not that it is possible to see.

Second Sample for Sarah a Elephant Card

Good Morning Ladies, its a beautiful day and the sun is out and it makes you feel fabulous. Todays sample for Sarah is this gorgeous Elephant with its baby, and Ive used a main topper and printed it onto semi-gloss paper and this is why the cards Ive so far posted are taken sideways on because it glares if I dont.
Ive created a 7"x 7" card with a first layer of some silver hologram card and one of three papers from Sarahs "Cuddle Upz" Cd, this first one is a pattern of the savannah with trees along the bottom and small elephants then across the middle of this paper I have used my second paper an all over elephant pattern paper but I cut this into a strip and used my Martha Stewart Border Punch along the two edges, I then placed my mounted image in the centre on top.
Along the bottom is one of the ribbon strips from the CD that Ive taken in my graphics program and but the sentiment along the middle. Ive also used a third paper on the inside and this one is a sentiment one which has been mounted onto a further piece of the same Hologram Card, sorry I didnt take a photo of this so you will have to forgive for that.

Sarah Hallams brand new CD

Im sorry Ive not been around much today but my dear friend Sarah Hallam has sent me her brand new Cd titled Cuddle Upz, which is to be previewed on Create and Craft on the 14th December, I carnt give you any more details at the moment but this is the first sample that Ive managed to make.
Once again Sarah has created some really beautiful designs to play with, this first one is of Koalas and they are so sweet. Ive actually made a A5 card with two of the most beautiful backing paper designs from the CD, and some hologram card in green, and one of the ribbon strips which I took into my graphics program to but the text on it. Ive layered up the two papers on top of each other and then wrapped a silk ribbon across the middle and attached it to the back of the first mount. The mounted image was then positioned above the ribbon strip which was then stuck below it.
Ive also used one of the other paper sets on the Cd to create an insert for the inside, not that its possible to see but I assure you it is there.
I shall be busy with creating samples for Sarah over the next few days and I will post them as I go along, I do hope you like her choices of animals they are all wild ones, Panda, Zebra, Ostrich, Brown Bear, Giraffe, Marmoset, Meercat, Gibbon, Otter and Deer they are all in their natural settings and in fabulous colours and have corresponding inserts, envelopes, book marks, backing papers, ribbons and tags plus pyramid toppers.

A Card for Kennys Challenge - "Sparkle and Spots"

Good Morning Ladies, the sun is out but by gum its cold here in Gloucestershire and the birds didnt half give me a look of disgust (I was looking out of the window) when they went to get some water from their dish this morning it was frozen solid, anyway I sent hubby out to sort it out and to give them some more seed, so Im hoping theyve now forgiven me.
Todays card has been created for this weeks Kennys Challenge "Sparkle and Spots" and Ive used this image "Bodacious Bev" I wonder who this been named after I can guess carnt you? anyway I tried like mad to combine the digis but didnt have much luck so in the end I printed both sheets and cut them out and then with a bit of manipulation managed to get the image to sit on the parcel and popped her hat on top, with a bit of glue and a knife. I then coloured her with my copic pens, and cut her out with a mega Rectangle die from Nestabilities. Ive used a large scalloped one for the mount, the sentiment is one of the Justright stamps this was also mounted on to a circle scalloped mount.
The base card isa 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of green card and one of three fabulous papers again from my DT leader Donna of Bearlymine Designs  (Dont forget Donna as a Sale on her website at the moment shes offering 15% off) this one is called "Christmas Frolics"
and this set has quite a few designs with spots on which Ive used for the base layer a green and white, the second paper is red background with a sentiment all over it, the third and last paper is a swirl pattern with sentiments with both of these have been cut into strips and punched with a hole punch and layered on the base layer and then across the join Ive stuck a light green and red spotted ribbon down the card.
On top of this I have mounted the stamped image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. To finish of Ive created a flower spray with three poinsettas with holly leaves and berrys this was then arranged down the left handside and stuck to the card with silicone glue.

Todays card has been created for this weeks Mos Challenge "Vellum or/& Acetate" and Ive used Vellum for my card, this image is "Robin" and you will find it here and I think hes gorgeous, Ive printed it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, after which Ive cut it out with the large Rectangle Nestabilitie Die, and then used the large Scalloped one for the mount. The sentiment is one of the new Whimsey seal stamps you will find them at Bunny-Zoes, Nikki has them in stock if you are interested, they are gorgeous.

This paper is very pretty blue one with hearts and scrolls over, then Ive used my acetate and printed the same design on it, cut it into an oblong then used my snowflake all around punches from Martha Stewart and afterwards stuck it to the left of my card, on top of this I have positioned my mounted image. Then put the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. To finish of Ive cut out several snowflakes from the rest of my acetate and positioned them down the right hand side in random places.

A Card for two Challenges

Good Evening Ladies this card has taken me lot longer than I anticipated, as I had to make three toppers before I got it right, as each time I finished cutting them out I messed them up, so I was begining to pull my hair out by the time I got this image right. Anyway Ive created this card for two challenges the Just Magnolia Challenge, which is a "Sketch by Donalda" and Winter Wonderlands "Winter Sports" so Ive used this sweet image of Edwin on his sleigh, Ive stamped him onto white card before colouring him with my copic pens, then cut him out with a oval Nestabilitie die, and using the scalloped one for the mount. The sentiment is another of the Magnolia stamps thats been stamped onto white card then mounted onto a double ended tag diecut.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first layer of red card with one of two papers from the beautiful new "Christmas Dreams" paper set from Bearlymine Designs, you can see from the top of this blog that Donna has a special sale on at the moment to celebrate her birthday, I do hope you will pop across to her site and crab some bargains while you can. The first paper is a very pretty paper with hearts, scrolls and hearts on a red base, the second mount is a pretty green/white paper thats been cut for the sketch, then across the middle I have wrapped a organza wired ribbon and attach it to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then mounted in the centre and the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. To finish of I have created four snowflakes with punched out Martha Stewart ones dipped into some crushed glass glitter then positioned in two places on the card.

A Card for two Challenges - Totally Tilda and Winter Wonderland

Good Morning Ladies, well todays card has been created for two Challenges Totally Tilda's "Icy Christmas Blue and Silver" and Winter Wonderland's "Sing a Christmas Carol", and Ive used this gorgeous Tilda image shes one of the new ones and I just love it, Ive stamped her onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens before cutting her out with the large Curved Rectangle Die from Spellbinders, after which Ive used some Pearl Pens, white and silver on the fluffy bits on her coat and hat, and the silver was dabbed all over to create snow. The mount is created from using the same size die on silver mirri board, Ive drawn around the edge and cut out by hand. The sentiment is one of the new LOV stamps and this one was cut out with the circle die, and a larger one was used for the mount.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of silver mirri board, on top of this I have used again the most gorgeous of papers from the new "Christmas Dreams" papers design by Donna of Bearlymine Design,  (just click on the names) which are due to become available on Friday 12th, I would urge you to get your hands on them as they are absolutely gorgeous as you can see from this particular design, its so pretty with the white scrolls and heart.
On top of this paper I have positioned my mounted image to the left to allow the heart to show, and created a silver snowflake with the Marieanne Snowflake die and mounted two on top of each other and stuck it to the top of my card on the right hand side, and my sentiment at the bottom.

A Card for Mo's Challenge - "Whats in your Pocket"

Good Morning Ladies, hasnt the weather been awful these last few days my poor hubby has been trying to get outside to finish of some woodwork, hes trying to make two little beds for his granddaughters for Christmas, if the weather keeps on as it is at the moment I think if will probably be next Easter before they get them. Ive already made the bedding for them.
Anyway todays card has been created for this weeks Mos Challenge "Whats in your Pocket Card" and Ive used this sweet image of Kai playing with the snowflakes, mind you he doesnt want to sit on that cold snow for long or he could be in trouble. Ive printed it onto white card and coloured it with my copic pens, then cut it out with my rotatrim, Ive mounted it onto a piece of blue card.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card base with a shaped front for the opening to the pocket, Ive used two of the most beautiful papers from Donna's new Paper Digi set "Christmas Dreams" which is becoming available this coming Friday 12th, they really are beautiful, anyway Ive used a snowflake one for the inside which has also been mounted onto a piece of blue card, for the front Ive used a piece of white pearlescent card and the second patterned paper from this new set an all over sentiment paper, which means Ive not put an actual one of the card. I carnt say enough about these new papers they are so useful and so pretty, they have distressed framed edges and also some of them have the most beautiful designs in the background, in fact so beautiful you dont want to hide them.
I then ran some extra strong tape along the curve of the pocket and stuck some lace along it, then stuck the pocket down with some more of the same tape. On the front I have put my mounted image, and then created a tag for the inside this has also been made of blue card and the last of my papers a pretty star pattern, and at the end I have used one of the prima lace swirls to top it of.

The image is one of the new stamps from LOV, shes such a cutie and I know she can be used for other occassions I thought it was lovely as a Xmas stamp as well, and Ive stamped her onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens, then cut her out with the circle die and mounted her onto the new Beaded Circle Diecut from Spellbinders, Ive also used one of the new sentiments from LOV and given it the same treatment as the mounted image.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card and for my first layer Ive used a piece of red card and one of the very new papers from Donna of Bearlymine Designs, this set is the new one thats due out on Friday 12th called "Christmas Dreams",  and this first paper is a all over red background with again that very pretty top corner of scrolls, flourishes and a beautiful heart, and in the oposite bottom corner a picture of Father Christmas, on top of this I have used a further two more papers, in a yellowgreen colour these were mounted on a pale green card, the first one on the left is a snowflake design in several colours on a green/yellow background with a distressed edge, and the bottom on the right is again a very similar background but on top of this are several different coloured fir trees though I admit I have put my flower spray over a lot of it and its difficult to see properly.
Anyway I have positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the top on the left (though I see Ive mounted it a querky angle again), and on the right at the top is a corner piece, bits left over from cutting out my die shape. Then to finish of Ive created a flower spray with one of the new Hellibores from Wild Orchids, and two cherry blossoms and two asters all from the same company.
This card is to be entered in the following challenges:-

A Year has Gone By

This is only going to be a short post as its quite a difficult day for me, its a year since my dear Mum passed away and I miss her so much that I just wanted to let you see what a beautiful young woman she was when she 19 years old. Shes dressed in her Army uniform and from the stories she told me I gather she was a secretary to a Army Captain and was based in Wells during the war.
And while travelling back from her parents in Essex she met my Dad on the train and it wasnt long after that she got permission from her commanding oficer to get married and guess what I came along a year later. Do you know what Ive just realised I must have got my teeth from her as mine were like that before I lost them, isnt there something you learn every day.
Sleep tight Mum and I am sure you are now happily reunited with Dad, I LOVE you and miss our Sunday morning chats and your advice, I wouldnt wish you back to suffer but I do MISS you.

Cards for Men - Challenge 23 - "Animals"

Oh wow and double wow we had nearly 300 entries in the last Cards for Men Challenge and I was amazed at how fabulous the entries were, and we even had a little person take part and they certainly did a good job on their card. Anyway here we are again another Challenge and its our 23rd one and this one is all about "Animals" and we are being very kindly sponsered by Claire of Hope Jacare and she has kindly offered a rubber stamp for the winner (which is a brand new line for her), now I call that a fabulous prize.
And here is a special surprise for all those entering this Challenge Claire has offered this image free, and it would be lovely if you could use it for your card:-  (you will find details as how to claim it on the Challenge Blog)
This is what Claire says about herself:-
I'm a SAHM with three young children. I trained in Textile Design at the Glasgw School of Art and I love all things handmade, but especially papercrafts. I love to doodle ... and my doodles are available to purchase as digital images through Shop Handmade."
This is my card for this challenge, and I was lucky enough to be able to use this image which we as DT members were given to play with, thank you so Claire its such a priviledge to use them:-
Ive used this fabulous digi stamp from Claire and its called "on the Move", its of a snail and of course Claire does create the most stunning drawings and I love this one with all the doodles all over him, and Ive done my best to make him as colourful as I can, I even used some glitter in places, I should also say I used my copic pens on him.
The base card is a 7"x 7" with an extra few inches on the top to create a house shape card, then I used a piece of beige card, and one of Donna's Bearlymine Design Freebie Papers, which happens to be a brick pattern for the front of my house (if you want it you will have to go back through her older posts to find it) and then on top of this I have created two windows from some white card and some cut out window shapes. I then used some red pearlescent paper and pleated it to create the illusion of curtains and stuck them to the edges of the window. The door is yet another piece of beige card thats been drawn on to create the panelling, I then punched out some leaves and flowers for the flower bed along the front.
The roof is also pieces of punched out petals to create the tiles these were stuck with some silicone glue in rows. I then cut out my snail with my Marianne circle die and have stuck it to the card with some foam tape in the middle of front.
I do so hope that you will take part in this fortnights challenge and before you do please pop across to Cards for Men Challenge Blog and see what my fellow Design Team Members have been creating for your inspiration, and Im sure you will be thrilled at what you find they really are stunning.

A Card for Kennys Challenge- "Anything but Square"

Well good evening Ladies, I do apologise for posting this card so late but Ive had a very busy day, we did our montly shopping today and didnt sit down for dinner till 3.30pm and by the time we cleared away and Id done my scheduling for tomorrows Cards for Men Challenge I got very behind. Anyway Ive created this card for this weeks Kenny Challenge and Ive used this young lady whos called "Xmas Hottie" and I printed her onto white card after which I coloured her with my copic and promarker pens, then used the rotatrim to cut her out into an oblong and mounted her onto a piece of red card.
To make the easel card Ive used a 6"x 6" white card and two pieces of red card and then the most gorgeous new Digi Papers that will be on sale this coming Friday 12th at http://bmd-creations.blogspot.com/ (Donna also will have a sale on all her Digi Sets and Cds to celebrate her coming birthday) and you just carnt afford to miss them they are stunning, this set is called "Christmas Dreams" and they are beautiful as you can see from this preview below of some of the designs.
Ive used a really beautiful design on a red background this one is with white scrolls and a lantern and heart which Ive tried to marry up with the easel inside to give you a better impression of it. I then mounted my sentiment onto a piece of red card and stuck it to the side to hold up the front in position and created two snowflakes with some punched out pieces and used crushed glass glitter on them before sticking them together and arranging at the top on the right.
This card is to be entered in the following Challenges :-
