Challenge #20 - Cards for Men - "Myth and Legend"

Good Morning Crafters, this week is a very special one for me as Im travelling up to Scotland on Thursday for my eldest daughters wedding, on the way Im going to visit my very dear friend Elaine so Im really looking forward to that, shes such a lovely person that Im really excited at meeting her face to face for the first time. Then if that was not enough on the way home Im visiting yet another of my dear friends Avril so Im one lucky lady with lots of lovely things to look forward to.
Anyway I had better get back to work as I wont get my post written up if I dont, this weeks Challenge over at Cards for Men is all about "Myth and Legend" and that covers anything that your heart desires, and for this one we are being sponsored by "Bugaboo"

and they are offering a fabulous prize of
of winners choice.

And here is what they say about themselves:-

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps stamps at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug.

And here is the card I created for this Challenge.

I have used the Bugaboo "Witch Cat" this may be a old image thats been discontinued as I was unable to find it on their website, but I felt it was just right for my card as I know children love anything with spiders and cats, or at least my grandchildren do.
Ive printed the image onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, afterwards I used the Memory box die to cut it out and inked around the edge, then used the Spider corner also from Memory box to use as a overlay.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the papers I have used are from The Paper Shelters "Studies of a Witch" digi paper set, the first a deep purple and the second a paler one on which I have used a Martha Steward spiderweb border punch, then on top of this is a orage one which has been placed on black card. These were all layered up on a black first mount.
The the mounted image was placed towards the left and then I have punched out Memory Box bats in several sizes and a spider which I hung from the corner spider web, and the final flourish is the spider charm in the bottom left hand corner.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration.

And we were lucky to have been given several images to play with and I chose this one.

Isnt he a character I love the look on his face, I printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him and then cut him out with my Nestabilitie Rectangle die and then cut a larger one for the mount out of red card. The sentiment was one I created on my computer and printed it out and mounted it in the same way as the image.
The card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, and the three papers Ive used are from the Nitwit Downloads "Super Stewy" paper set, the papers where cut across the middle and Ive used a piece and then one of my border punches and tucked it behind the check paper. Its a simple design and I then positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment underneath.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pop across to the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the very talented team have created for your inspiration and I do hope that you will also take part in this "Cheeky Chappie" Challenge.
This card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-

A Card for Hubby's Birthday

Good Evening All, Im sorry this is late but its been a hectic day for sure, its not only my hubbys birthday today but we also made the journey upto the NEC and we had a rare old time, me spending and hubby carrying the goodies around for me. I met Jacqui from Cat's Whiskers and guess what I actually got the autograph of Sue Wilson the lady who demostrates on Create and Craft for Spellbinders and Elusive Images, shes such a lovely lady and I took the oportunity to get her autrograph for one of my dearest friends whos a great fan of hers.
Anyway this card Im posting today was made for my husband and Ive used the Bugaboo Digi Images and the same with the sentiments, I printed him onto white card and coloured it with my copic pens, then cut him out with my rotatrim then layered him up on some cream pearlescent card, and the same with the sentiment.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with two papers from Donna's "For the Men" Bearlymine Digi Papers the first has gear wheels all over, and the second is a diamond pattern and Ive used a train border punch along the edge. The mounted image was positioned to the left hand side, and the sentiment on the right, to finish of Ive used some train buttons down the right side.
