Challenge #23rd - "Merry Christmas" - Cards for Men

Good Morning All, well here we are again another Challenge over at Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and for this one we want to start to make our Christmas Cards and the theme is "Merry Christmas" and we are being sponsored by Scribbled Kidz the brainchild of our Blog Leaders husband Andrew.

http://scribbledkidz.weebly.com/
And is offering a fabulous prize of 3 images of winners choice.

And here is what they say about themselves:-

Scribbled Kidz is all about fun images largely inspired by my family and what they might get up to. They are all hand drawn originals scanned in at 300 dpi and saved as jpegs.   If you have any suggestions or special requests please let us know. Please pop along and see what we have to offer.

And we were lucky enough to be able to choose a image to play with and this is the one I chose.

This image is titled "Ho Ho Ho" and you will find it here, I printed the image onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, afterward I cut the image out completely and used a snow writer on the edges of the little santa's coat.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the first mount is a red card and the paper is from Do Crafts "Santa's Workshop" paper pad, this one is a all over house pattern. Then with a Tattered Lace Sleigh die I cut out the sledge with bronze mirri card.
This ws then placed towards the top and the image was placed below towards the right hand side, and to finish of I used a Simon Says Stamps stamp and banner, this was placed at the bottom on the right hand side. I used some of the bits that came out of the sledge die in the top two corners as they were to pretty to throw away.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Merry Christmas" Challenge.

Cards for Men - Challenge #10 - "Fancy Folds"

Good Morning Crafters, well yet another week has started and this fortnights challenge over on Cards for Men is all about "Fancy Folds" and this means a card with lots of folds or a folded design and must be for a man and we are being sponsored this time by Donna husbands "Scribbled Kidz" and these are all images created by her husband and obviously they are mostly of their three boys and the antics they get up to.

The prize they are offering is prize of :-

And here is what they say about their company:-

Scribbled Kidz has been inspired by our three little lads, the antics they get up to etc.  We've tried to capture some of them in the digital images you can download and use in your card making or other image based activities.

Please browser the site and add some images to your basket.  You could also email us some suggestions for future images or things you'd like to see.

Thanks for looking, hope you find this resource useful
.

We were lucky enough to be given a couple of images to play with and I chose this one for my card.

I have printed the image of "Birthday Boy" onto white card then coloured it with my copic pens, afterwards used the curved rectangle die from Nestabilitie Dies and used a larger one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 9" white card, on the larger one I have used a dark blue mount and one of three papers from the Sweetshoppe "Birthday Boy" digi paper set, the first is a sentiment one, and then for my second paper I have used a red one with yellow stars on, the third is a balloon design on a black background I have also used it on the other smaller fold on the side.
I then placed my mounted image in the middle and the sentiment is from Stampin up crossword stamp and this was then placed in the bottom right hand corner.
Now that youve seen my card I hope that you will go and visit the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for  your inspiration and hopefully you to will take part in this "Fancy Folds" Challenge.

Challenge #24 - Cards for Men - "Merry Christmas"

Good Morning Everyone, well today over on Cards for Men we have a brand new Digi Designer and that is Andrew Walker, hes the husband of our Team Leader and Owner of Cards for Men and he was asked by Donna to start creating digi stamps for us to play with and now he has started his own website called "Scribbled Kidz" and you will find it here.

He is offering a fabulous prize of 3 digi images of winners choice.

Andrew has based all his designs on his young sons and I think you will be surprised at how fabulous they actually are, I do hope you will go and visit the website and see for yourself and hopefully you will be encouraged to buy some of them, as they are very reasonably priced to.
We were lucky enough to be given a few of the images to play with and I chose this one for my card.

This little lad is writing up his list for Santa so its titled "Dear Santa" and I have printed it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him, then used my Nestabilitie Die No.1 to cut him out then drew around the metal die to create the mount out of red card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card and the papers I have used are from Echo Parks "Very Merry" Christmas papers, the first one a red background with white snowflakes on the second is a grid pattern and the third a newspaper item, I layered them on the base mount at angles.
I then positioned my mounted image in the center and cut out my sentiment with one of the new Britannia die from some of the red card and then positioned it across the bottom right hand corner. To finish of I have used three buttons and stuck them down the right hand side.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and then maybe you to will take part in the "Merry Christmas" Challenge.

A new set of Digi's

I was asked by my Design Team Leader from Cards for Men if I would make a card with a digi that her hubby Andy had created and I said I would give it a go and here is the result. Andy has created 3 digi stamps for sale (all Halloween images they are all priced at £1.each so very reasonable) and you will find them on his blog Scribbled Kidz and hes hoping to take the craft world by storm with his fabulous images, as its a new venture I do hope that you will pop across and visit this blog and see for yourself how talented Andy is.
Ive printed the image onto white card and coloured it with my copic pens, then used my rotatrim to cut it out and distressed the edges and mounted it onto a piece of red card. The sentiment is one from Whimsey stamps and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, then I have used Sweetshoppe Digi Paper "Ghoul Night" digi paper set, the first is a all over pattern of pumpkins ghouls and vampires, the second is a pumpkin paper that I have cut in a square then used my ghoul corner and border punch on, I laid this on top of a piece of red spiderweb and then I cut out with some red card a spooky house and tree from La La Land and this were placed on top of the second mount.
The mounted image was then positioned towards the left with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of I have put a ghost charm in the top right hand corner.
