A Card for the Sugar Bowl Challenge - "A Sketch"
Good Morning Everyone, well the sun is out and its quite warm outside, Ive just been into town to pick up my magazines and to give the pup a walk, this is the first time Ive done that for about a month so it was just nice to escape from four walls, and it certainly shattered the pup shes now whacked out asleep by the side of my computer desk.
Anyway todays card has been created for this weeks Sugar Bowl Challenge "A Sketch" and Ive used this sweet digi image for my card and coloured it with my copics before cutting it out with my Nestabilitie Die No.1 and then drew around the die to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one of the Whimsey Christmas stamps from last year and Ive cut this out with a circle die and mounted it on a larger diecut.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of turquoise blue card and one of two papers from The First Edition "Christmas Joy" paper pack this first paper is a patterned one with snowmen and penquins on a blue background, on top is a stripped one in similar colour tones, across the card Ive then wrapped a film strip ribbon of snowmen and penquins to and attached it to the back of the first mount, The mounted image was then positioned in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right.
This card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-

The Fortyfirst Challenge for The Paper Shelter - "Christmas Sparkle" (Red, Green & Gold)
Wow that was some title to write this time for The Paper Shelter, these weeks are flying by and in just under a months time we will be celebrating and I mean CELEBRATING a very special event as it will be their first Birthday and they are offering you fabulous prizes so keep your eyes peeled for the Announcement that's taking place on 1st December at The Paper Shelters Challenge Blogspot, I promise you, you wont be disappointed. And now for this weeks Challenge we want you to put a bit of "Christmas Sparkle" incorporating "Red, Green and Gold" on your cards, I spent all day last Friday getting my cards ready to post, you know putting in inserts and making sure that I had enough, I'm still short believe me. Anyway back to this week, again I want to thank Veronica and Pedro for being such fabulous owners and sponsors of this Challenge.
And they are offering you a fabulous prize of a $20 Gift Certificate to spend in their shop, that's providing you have used one of their products (digi images, papers and accessories) on your card, but even if you haven't you will still be eligible for 3 of their images of your own choice. I want to tell you that if you want to stand a chance of winning the fabulous top prize its worth visiting their webshop and buying one of their images as they are quite stunning and such fabulous value and also a great selection of different occasions to chose from.
And now back to my card for this Challenge.
And for my card I have used this gorgeous image titled "Christmas Gift" and you will find her here, Ive printed her onto white card then used my copics and tria pens to colour her, afterwards Ive used the large Oval Nestabilitie die to cut her out, the mount I have used is one of the Die-namics Oval dies, this was cut out of red card. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been stamped and cut in the same way as the mounted image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card and one of two papers from The Paper Shelters "Christmas Spirit" Digi papers and you will find them here. This first paper is a bright patterned design in reds, yellows and greens and on top is a half circle mount with a similar colour choice but in a stripe pattern, this was placed down the right hand side, on top I have wrapped a piece of lace and red satin ribbon which was attached to the back of the first mount. I then positioned my mounted image towards the right and my sentiment below it. To finish of I have used three poinsetta's and placed them along the side of the mounted image and stuck to the card on top of some punched out holly leaves with some silicone glue. Ive also popped some stickles on the flowers themselves just to add a bit of sparkle.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit the rest of my very talented "A" Team over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and hopefully they will inspire you to take part in the "Christmas Sparkle" Challenge.

Bearlymine Designs Challenge Twentyfour - "Your Favourite Things"
Good Morning Everyone, as you are probably aware our DT Leader and Owner hasn't been very well now for quite a few weeks and the news is still very sketchy, but we do want to wish her a speedy recovery and hope it wont be to long before shes back to her normal self, she works so hard and we do so miss her, Get Better Quickly Donna we need you. Anyway back to this fortnights Challenge for Bearlymine Designs and is all to do with using "Your Favourite Things" and if you anything like me you have certain things you just can't do without when making Cards and mine I will show you as we go along. This Challenge is being sponsored by the following people:-
Wow there some awesome prizes there again and I know if would be just fabulous to win one of them I just wish is were possible for us to do so. Anyway Ive created this easel card as its one of my most favourite shapes to use.
And Im also led to believe its one of Donna's favourite shapes to, anyway I had the luck to be able use this gorgeous "Tickled Pink" image and her name is "Lolita Kellita" Ive printed her onto white card then used my copics and tria pens to colour her, then Ive used the large Rectangle Nestabilitie Die to cut her out and the they Deckle edged one for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and I think its got a really lovely way of expressing the feeling of the season.
The base size of this card is a 6"x 6" and Ive used to mounts in red with one of two papers from Donna's Bearlymine Designs "Winters Swirl" digi set this first paper is a beautiful red background with holly leaves on, on top is a red green and white pattern paper which has been cut into a 5" square and Ive used the holly all around punch set from Martha Stewart, these where then layered up and Ive used a deep cream lace on both with a wide red satin ribbon which has then been attached to the back of this mount.
For the front of my card I then used the large heart die from Cherry Lynn on some red pearlescent card and this was then tucked into the back of the ribbon and lace and Ive then positioned my mounted image on top. For the inside I used my mounted sentiment as a stop this was positioned in the middle of the lace but before sticking it down Ive tucked a further heart shape behind it on the left hand side.
To finish of the front I have created a floral spray with two colours of hellebore's and some holly berries these were attached to the card on top of some punched out holly leaves on some silicone glue.
Ive got to say that this is one of my most favourite designs of cards I love the simplicity of the layering and the lace and ribbon which finishes it of, and the flower sprays brings the whole thing alive. I do hope you enjoy seeing this card and now you've seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit the Bearly Mine Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of a extremely talented team have created for you and hopefully it will inspire you to take part in this "Your Favourite Things" Challenge.

Cards for Men - Challenge 24 - "Fancy Folds"
Good Morning Everyone, yes another fortnight has flown by and we have now reached our twenty fourth Challenge for Cards for Men, and this time we want to see your "Fancy Folds" and there are certainly a lot to choose from so I will leave your choice up to you.
This time we are being sponsored by a new company and that is "Whimsie Doodles"
And here is what Melyssa says about her Company :-
And they are offering as a prize a $10 Gift Certificate to spend on their Website.
We were lucky enough to be given several gorgeous images to play with and I chose these ones for my DT Card.
The little lad is called "Hoodie Jayson" and I thought that the sentiment went quite well with him so I chose to use that to, the acutal card shape is one that I invented myself its a sort of triple fold and its based around a 6"x 6" card base, the papers I used are Papermania's "For Him" paper pad.
The main image was printed onto white card and I then coloured him with my copics and tria pens, then I used the large Rectangle Nestabilitie Die to cut him out, and then drew around the die onto blue card to create the mount for him. The sentiment was done in the same way. The last flourish is the computer button that was attached to the middle fold.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pop across to the Cards for Men Blogspot and see what the rest of my fellow Design Team Members have created with this "Fancy Folds" Challenge.
This card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-

Whimsie Doodles is so excited to be sponsoring the new challenge! In March of 2009 Melyssa Connolly, artist and owner, began turning her whimsical hand-drawn images into digital files for sale online. Whimsie Doodles' digital stamp line features images that range from cute little boys and girls, to punny stuff, and everything in-between. We enjoy sharing lots of samples on our company blog, where we also post challenges and tutorials.

A Card for Just Magnolia "Ribbons" Challenge
Good Afternoon Everyone, well I thought I would for a change made another Xmas Card and I think this one will probably go to my Mother in Law as she seems to be the only one I havent made a card for yet. Anyway Ive used one of the new Sweet Christmas images of Tilda, isnt she cute, Ive stamped her onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a oval Nestabilitie Die to cut her out, and the beaded oval for the mount out of red card. The sentiment is one of my stash stamps that I have stamped onto a piece of white card and mounted it also on some red card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, the one and only paper Ive used is a Memory Box paper its a cream background with a spray of roses down the left side, Ive stuck on top and wrapped around the right hand side a piece of lace and red satin ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then positioned in the image with the sentiment on the left hand side at the bottom. To finish of I have created a spray of roses in several sizes and stuck them in the top left hand corner on some punched out rose leaves with some silicone glue.

My Birthday and Bloganniversary
This is a stickie and will stay at the top until the 19th November. Please scroll down to find the new posts.
Three years ago on the 19th of November a very dear friend of mine introduced me to blogging, it started in a small way but has steadily over the years got bigger, involving joining many Challenges to start of with then being asked to join Design Teams, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it and would like now to offer some blog candy as a very big thank you to you all, but firstly I have some stipulations, this is for my real followers and not for those who only add their names because they want something for nothing, so I would advise you if thats what you intend to do please dont, because if your not a regular visitor that I know of you wont be eligible to win either one of my two "Surprise Parcels" one is for my "Great Britain" followers and the other for my "Overseas" ones. I will be screening those that join the list suddenly out of the blue and if Im not happy with that entrant they will not win my candy, sorry about that but in the past I have had lots of "fair weather Followers" who only join in the hope of winning something for nothing and then suddenly dissappear as quickly as they appear, Ive even had blogs that only have Blog Candy as their posts and its not fair to those very faithful followers who regularly visit and leave such lovely comments. As its my birthday on the 26th I felt it would be right to combine the two and give the two prizes instead of the usual one, Im not going to tell you whats in them it will be a complete surprise to the winners.

A Christmas Card for Cuddly Buddly
Good Afternoon Everyone, well this is my last card for Cuddly Buddly, as there are no more Challenges I thought Id make it as a thank you to Kim and Ive even used her own digi images and papers. I printed it onto white card before using my copics to colour it. Then cut it out with a Nestabilitie Circle Die, and used one of the Tear Drop Circle die for the mount, I also used a smaller one for the sentiment which is another of Kims own designs.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card and the first of two papers from Cuddly Buddly, a very pretty red background with holly pattern, on top of this I have used the second paper a white background with green stripes and another holly pattern on, this was then folded into a smaller strip and cut into four then stuck it across the card and a wide tartan ribbon was then positioned on top and attached to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then positioned in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, and to finish of I have used a large poinsetta and punched out holly leaves and holly berries stuck to the top left hand corner on some silicone glue.

A Big Thank You to you All
Good Afternoon, well the sun is out and Im gradually making some progress into getting better, Im still coughing well and my voice is still sounding like something resembling someone from Star Wars but now Im on some Antibiotics Im keeping my fingers crossed it wont be long before I start to feel a 100% better. I really dont want to go back down the road Ive just been on as it really did knock me for six, but I want to thank you all so very much for the really lovely comments and good wishes so many of you have left for me. And now that I have managed to create a card its to show my thanks in our usual way "Bless you All". Ive also got some sad news to announce to you all "Cuddly Buddly" Challenges are finishing this Friday as Kim is finding it a struggle to not only cope with the dwindling entrants but also trying to run a shop as well, its just to much like hitting your head against a brick wall, so I also want to thank her for inviting me to be part of one of her teams even though as it turned out for a very short time, I do so hope that it wont stop you all going and visiting her regualarly and seeing what stunning things she has for sale.
And as it is I have used the "Bits of Ivory" digi image and papers from Cuddly Buddly to create my card, isnt she a sweetie, I do hope you like the results. Today Im not going to write out a long post for this but I suspect you will be able to give it a good shot at working out the receipe for it for yourself.

Thank you all for the Lovely Comments
Good Morning Everyone, its a good job that its not this week that all my blog scheduling is needed as Im still struggling to recoup my energy, I have never felt so tired and exhausted, it doesnt take much to sap me of any energy I might have. My throat is still extremely sore and my voice sounds more masculine than female, and I have one nasty raspy cough with now a chest infection, my ears feel as if Ive been in a diving bell, not sure who they belong to, the only good thing so far is it hasnt gone to my sinus as I know from last year it would be fatal, it causes no end of problems with my teeth. Anyway I will try in a few days to get around and visit more of you, at the moment Im just doing my DT comment work and that alone is tiring me, so please forgive me for not coming by yours. I suspect I will be spending this afternoon sleeping this energy burst, so forgive me for leaving this a bit short, and thank you again for all your lovely wishes.

The Thirtyninth Challenge for The Paper Shelter - "All in Pink"
Good Morning Everyone, well this weeks Challenge is going to set your mind a thinking as we want a card with the theme of "All in Pink" on it, I hope you will enjoy taking part and Im sure it will stretch your imagination, but knowing you Im bet it wont take you long to sort something out. I also want to thank my fellow Team Leader for stepping in as guest designer for the month of November, as one of my Team had to resign last week and we shall certainly miss her, so good luck Penni in what ever you decide for your future. As always our sponsers are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter.
And they are offering a prize of $20 to spend in their webshop The Paper Shelter, and if youve used one of their products on your card you will be entitled to the whole amount, but even if you havent and you are chosen by Random Org. you will still be given 3 digi images of your own choice. They do have the most gorgeous images, stunning papers and fabulous accessories for you to choose from.
And now here is my card for this Challenge.
For my card I chose to use this gorgeous "Beauty Treatment" image and you will find her here, and have printed her onto white card then used my copic's and tria pens to colour her, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Label Die No.23 to cut her out, I then used the metal die to draw around on some pink card then cut it out with my scissors. The sentiment is one of the CC stamps thats been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card, and for my papers I have used the "Zoe Spring" Digi Papers and you will find them here, the first paper is a pink patchwork paper, and then on top I have used a spotty paper and cut it into a square and laid on top of the first, and for the third paper is a pretty pink paisley paper which was mounted and stuck down the card, then on top is a fourth paper a pink check paper and this was also mounted but across the card this time.
I then positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment below on the right hand side. To finish of I have created some rolled flowers with a Die-namics die, and I used up some of the left over papers, these were then attached to the card with some silicone glue on top of some punched out leaves. The last flourish is two pink check buttons which have had some bakers twine threaded through the holes and tied in knots. These were positioned at the top on the right hand side.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope you will go and visit The Paper Shelter Blogspot and see what the rest of my "A" Team have created for you and hopefully it will inspire you to take part in this weeks "All in Pink" Challenge.

And for this Challenge we are being sponsered by the following people:-
Wow those are truly an awesome selection of prizes, wish we were allowed to take part as I would love to win some of them. Anyway heres my card for this Challenge.
For my card I selected "Toy Soldier" for my card its a Kenny K image and you will find it here, Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour her, then used the large Rectangle Nestabilitie Die to cut her out then used the die to again to draw around to create the mount for it. The sentiment was one I created on my computer and printed it onto white card then mounted it in the same way as my image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and one of five papers from Donna's Bearlymine Designs "Christmas Wishes" Digi Download Set and you will find it here. The first paper is blue background with white stars on, on top of this is a diamond shaped pattern in white and blue, the third is a blue and white strip one and this was placed down the card, then across the card is a beige, white and blue striped one, and for my five paper I have used another star paper but in several different sizes on a blue background.
The mounted image was then positioned in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side.
Now that youve seen my card do please go and visit the Bearlymine Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for you, and hopefully it will inspire you to take part in this weeks "One for the Boyz" Challenge.

Cards for Men - Challenge 23 - "Its nearly Christmas"
Good Morning Everyone, well would you believe it another two weeks have flown by and weve now reached our Twentythird Challenge and this ones theme is "Its nearly Christmas" and Im sure it will be a great favourite for you all especially as it only weeks till Christmas. Before I start I want to introduce you to the brand new DT members that have joined The Cards for Men team, and they are,
I do hope that you will visit their blogs and give them your support as we are thrilled at them joining us, only three of the members have taken part in this Challenge as Alan is away on holiday.
And now I want to tell you who our Sponser is for this Challenge and that is Karen Johnson of Karen's Doodles.
And here is what she says about her company:-
Karen Johnson has been drawing all of her life. She has worked on the feature film, “Ferngully The Last Rainforest” and has created animations for Disney, Fisher Price and Mattel. She has illustrated several children’s books and is currently teaching animation at a college in Wisconsin. She started Karen’s Doodles so she could share her whimsical drawings with crafters from around the world.
And she has offered 3 digi's to the winner.
We were lucky to receive several images to play with for this Challenge and I chose this one for my card, its called "Snowmen Caroling" you will find it here.
And I printed it onto white card then used my copic's and tria pens to colour it, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.17 to cut it out then used the die to cut around to create the mount for it out of blue card. The sentiment is one from my stash which I rather like and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and a first paper of three from the Dovecraft "Let it Snow" paper pad, this first paper is a white background with a large glittered snowman in the bottom left hand corner, the second and third papers have been cut in strips and I have used a Martha Stewart Border Snowflake embossing border punch along the edges and then layered up, these two papers are two shades of blue with snowflakes on.
I then positioned mounted image towards the top in the middle and the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. To finish of Ive put a snowman button in the bottom left hand corner.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope you will go and visit the Cards for Men Challenge Blog and see what the rest of our very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will then take part in this "Its nearly Christmas" Challenge.

Cuddly Buddly's Challenge 19 - "A Receipe" 3 Flowers, 2 Buttons and 1 Ribbon
Good Morning Everyone, I cannot believe that I have now been with the Cuddly Buddly team for 12 weeks and this is my 6th Challenge Card for them, what a lovely person Kim is thank you so much for choosing me for the Cuddly Team I do so enjoy being part of it. Anyway todays challenge is "A Receipe" and we want you to use 3 Flowers, 2 Buttons and 1 Ribbon on your card, and Im sure that wont be a difficult task as most of us use these on all our cards. This time I am using the gorgeous Kim Sponaugle's "Picture Kitchen Studio" images and papers and if you would like to visit Kim's Cuddly Buddly Webshop you will be able to see the whole range of stunning images and papers she has created, heres the link for you, I would also like to let you know that not only does Kim sell digi products but also anything a crafter could desire and she also has a lot of freebies to give away, please do go and visit her shop and see for yourself.
And here is my card for this weeks Challenge.
For my card I have used the "Cupcake Fairy" and you will find it here I have printed her onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour her, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.22 to cut her out then used the die itself to draw around to create the mount for her. The sentiment is one from my stash and this was just stamped onto white card ready for me to mould around the cupcake die cut.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card, on top of this is my first paper of three that I have used these are again "Picture Kitchen Studio's Multi Fairy Fun"digi papers and you will find there here, I used a white background paper with pink swirls on for the first one, then on top is a large spotted one on which I have used a cupcake border punch from Martha Stewart on the edge, and the third paper a small spotted one and Ive done the same to that edge to, these were layered up on top of one another. Then on top of these I have used a piece of the same pink card as the mount to run through my cuttlebug with a cupcake embossing folder, this was then stuck down on top of the two other papers.
The mounted image was then positioned in the middle and I then cut out from a bit more pink card a cupcake case and for the top I used a piece of white pearlescent card, and of course for the candle a smaller piece of the pink again. I then moulded the sentiment around the case and used some stickles on the topping to create hundreds and thousands. To finish off I used a lace ribbon flower with beads in for my ribbon embellishment in the top left hand corner, and with a couple of cupcake buttons I finished of the card in the two opposite corners.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Cuddly Buddly Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of a extremely talented team have created to inspire you hopefully to take part in this weeks Challenge.
