And for my own card I chose to use this image
And this image is called "Yep, I have my methods" and you will find it here, I printed it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, afterwards I used a rectangle Spellbinders die to cut it out and a fancy one for the mount out of dark blue card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card and the backing paper is from the same design set and the image and you will find it here. I then used two die cut corner which I created using  Memory Box die and placed them in the top two corners, and the to give the image a bit more snow I used some white embossing powder and heated it up to give more dimension to the image.
The sentiment is one from my stash that was stamped onto another piece of white card and mounted onto a piece of the same blue card and placed in the bottom right hand corner, with the mounted image in the center.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and take part in our "Anything Goes" Challenge.

And here is the Card I made for the theme
this image is titled "Gingerbread House" and I made the card for one of my great grandsons, last year they created one from a kit they bought in the local supermarket and my did they have a lot of fun with it, you will find it here
I printed it onto white card and coloured it with my copic pens then cut it out with one of my Nestabilitie dies, and used a larger one with red card for the mount. The sentiment is stamped onto another piece of card and I used the same die design to cut it out and a larger one for the mount.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of red card and I then used the backing paper that came with the image, you will find it here, and then placed the mounted image in the middle and the sentiment below on the right handside.
To finish of I used several cake and other buttons along the bottom and right edge to give it a bit of a zing. Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to our The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and I hope you will want to take part in this "A Christmas Card" themed Challenge.

Challenge #359 - A Card for a Child - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, I dont know about you but at this time of the year I get rather worried because here in the UK people seemed to love to celebrate Firework Night, but I dread it as our poor dog hates the bangs and noise, and so this year we have already decided to make sure we have some sedative to give her once she starts to panic, she gets extremely distressed by it all, we did make sure we took her to the Vets to get the right thing for her, but Im still not happy as around where I live it just doesnt happen on the 5th but it normally goes on for about 2 weeks, then just as we get over that the New Year bring it back again.
Anyway this weeks theme for our cards is

A Card for a Child

Im lucky to have quite a few grandchildren and great grandchildren so when I plan my cards I use the theme I keep them in mind as to what I will create so it can used for them on their birthdays.
And you will find beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from to. Our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

But don't forget they will only give you the whole amount if you have used one of their images on your card but don't worry if you haven't, they will still give you 3 digi images or your own choice if you are picked as a winner.
And here is the Card I made for the theme
this image is "You're my Cuppy Cake" and you will find it here. I printed it onto white card and coloured it with my copic pens, afterwards I used  Nestabilitie die to cut it out and a larger one out of pink card for the mount.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of pink card the same as used for the mounted image. The backing paper is also from the same image set and you will find it here, I then placed it on top of the first mount and place a square doily in the middle, afterwards I wrapped a piece of pink ribbon with lace behind it and attached it to the back of the mount.
This was then placed onto the base card and I then added my mounted image in the center and The sentiment is from my stash and I also added the cakes message as well as I thought it was appropriate.
To finish of I used several cake and other buttons along the bottom and right edge to give it a bit of a zing. Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to our The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and I hope you will want to take part in this "A Card for a Child" themed Challenge.

Challenge #228 - Halloween or Halloween Colours - Pink Gem Challenges

Good Morning Gemsters, today is a very sad day for me and the rest of the Pink Gem Design Team as this is our very last Challenge so this weeks theme is ideal for me to use it to get myself ready for Halloween and as I have several small grandchildren and great grandchildren to get cards made for so this is a ideal time to get them done and ready to post and I hope it is for you to, so the theme is

Halloween or Halloween Colours

and here is the choice of colours to pick from please

Unfortunately Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs has decided that this will be our last Challenge post and from now on she will be trading from her Etsy shop and this is

not only does she own the website Pink Gem Designs  but is also the designer and creator of our gorgeous images, so do go and visit her website and see for yourself what stunning and usable images, papers there are to buy.
For my own card I used one of Janets pre-designed cards and here is it.

This little lady is called "Halloween Chloe" and you will find her here as near to this design as I can find on her Etsy site. I printed her onto a stiff white card and then used the front and insert by placing these onto pieces of mauve card and then stuck them onto a base card.
The image in the center of the front was cut from another printed sheet and decoupaged up on top of the printed image already on the base card, I then chose a sentiment in fact I picked two and placed these also on to mauve card and stuck them in the two opposite corners at the top.
Now that youv'e seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the Pink Gem Designs Challenge Blogspot and you can see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and I hope that you will take part in our  "Halloween or Halloween Colours" Challenge.

Challenge #355 - Colours of Autumn/Fall - The Paper Shelter Challenge

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, I dont know about you but here in the UK we are already showing signs of Autumn and as I live in a huge Wooded Area on the border of Wales you can image what its beginning to look like, and of course the Wild Boar are enjoying the treats digging up the sides of the road to get to the juicy worms etc, and believe me they certainly do a lot of damage if they can get into playing fields of any kind, luckily where I live they haven't ventured as we are a bit to close to busy roads otherwise I would need some very strong fences to keep them out.
Anyway this weeks theme is all about

Colours of Autumn/Fall

and we would like to see you using any of the appropriate colours on your card please.

Over at The Paper Shelter website they have some really beautiful Autumn/Fall images and for my own choice I picked this one

This beautiful image is called "Autumn Beauty" and you will find her here, and I so agree she is a beauty, I printed her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a square die to cut her out, and a larger one for the mount out of orange card. I also put some glitter on her wings.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of the same orange card, and the backing paper I used was from the same design set as the image and you find her here. On top of this I placed my mounted image in the middle and the sentiment was printed from one I googled on line and then mounted also onto a piece of orange card which was then placed in the bottom right hand corner.
After I had done this I diecut a load of leaves and placed around the mounted image and the final flourish are the leave and nut buttons which were placed in between the diecut leaves.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Colours of Autumn/Fall" Challenge.
