Blog Hop Challenge - Birthday/Celebrations - The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot

This weeks Challenge is a very special one over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot its to be their celebration of

                                                            Their 11th Birthday

and to celebrate this the theme this week is all about the Celebrations and so for my own card I have created a card for one of my Great Grandsons.

I have used "We've Won" and you will find it here, the reason for my choice is because both of my great grandsons and their father are crazy over football and train twice a week hopefully no doubt to become professional one day. I printed the image out several times and then cut them down in layers to create a decoupage image as you will see. Ive then printed the background and then placed it on a piece of dark blue card.
The decoupaged image was then placed on the background image in the center with a typed sentiment in the bottom right hand corner. Now that you've seen my card I do hope you go over to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see for yourself what a fabulous set of cards that have been created for this "Birthday/Celebration" Challenge.
This Card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-

Challenge #491 - A Bookmark - The Paper Shelter Challenge

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, well this is the last Challenge I create a card for and I thought you might like to see the result as its something completely different from the usual theme its all about a

                                                                              A Bookmark

and I chose the image below and I hope you like the result.

For this theme I used "Bookworm Fairy" and you will find her here, I used the image by printing it onto white card then coloured it with my copic pens, I then used a fancy tag die to cut her out and a larger one with one of the backing papers from the same design set as the image and you will find it here.
I then used a second one to stick at the back of the first at the top to create a fold to put over the page at the top so I could use it as a bookmark.
Now that you've seen my design I do hope that you will pay a visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration.
I want to thank Linda for the brilliant job of taking on my old job and what good job shes making of it, Thank you so much for giving me the chance to at last take time to relax and spend precious time with my family. She knows if she ever needs me to stand in for her she has only to ask so you may see me again sometime but for now I am now fading into the background.

I also printed her onto white card like my last one about, and then coloured it with my copic pens, afterwards I cut it out with a oval die and then placed it onto a larger one of pink card, I also stamped the sentiment and cut it out with a smaller die.
Both cards I used the back ground papers from each of the images and then placed ribbon around the middle and attached it to the back of the first mount, the images were then placed in the middle with the sentiment down in the right hand corners.

The sentiment is one from my stash and I have stamped it and mounted it onto another piece of pink card. The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of pink card and the papers are also from the same place as the image, I have mounted this onto the base card with a large pink ribbon around the middle and then placed my mounted image in the center with the sentiment below in the bottom right hand corner.

Good Luck girls and I hope you both enjoy it as much as I have for the past eleven years.
And also a very special  big thank you to my Team who have be have been more than anything they have been my very good friends, thank you girls, and also to those Team Member who have worked with me in the past.
Now for my very last post this weeks theme is all about

Activity, Job or Hobby

and I have chosen to use a image which portrays my step-daughters profession as she is a chemistry technician in a secondary School in London.
But I think its time for me to get on and to remind you that you will find some beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from for this weeks theme to. Our Sponsors are and as always are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

But don't forget they will only give you the whole amount if you have used one of their images on your card but don't worry if you haven't, they will still give you 3 digi images or your own choice if you are picked as a winner. Please don't forget you are allowed to enter 3 projects but one of these must carry one of our images please as its only good manners don't you think.
And here is the image I chose to use

This image is titled "Science" and you will find it here, I printed her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a square die to cut her out and a fancy larger on and pink card for the mount. The sentiment is once which I found on the internet and I have printed it and then mounted this onto a piece of the same pink card as the image.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of the same pink card, the backing paper is the one from the same design set as the image and  you will find that here. Its a simple card but certainly has a punch.
Well I want to thank all those that have visited me here on my blog over the last 11 years while I have been a Team Leader, I may still upload the odd card now and again if I remember to do so, but my intention to retire and step down is to spend more time with my hubby and dogs, especially as one of them is now nearly 11 years and the other has mental problems coping with Epilepsy, ADHD and Autism he is getting more difficult to cope with new experiences and both hubby and I are having to watch ourselves not allowing him to get spooked by them.
Now that you've seen my creation I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "Activity, Job and Hobby" Challenge to.

Back to School

and Im sure you can use a card to send to someone you know who would love to receive it.
But I think its time for me to get on and to remind you that you will find some beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from for this weeks theme to.   He is titled "Back to School Madness" and you will find it here I printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him, afterwards I cut him out with a square die and mounted him onto a larger one cut from blue card. The sentiment was printed from a verse I found on the internet and which I felt was appropriate for my card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first layer I used a dark blue card the same one that I used for my image and on top I used the backing paper that came with the image which you will find here. For my own creation I chose this image

She is titled "Comfy at Home" and you will find her here, I printed her several times then cut the image out to use for decoupaging onto the base image which was printed and stuck to the side of a wooden tissue box cover. Using silicone glue I have layered her up several times to make it stand out from the base layer.
I hope you like the result, its certainly different and you have to be rather careful when pulling out the tissue you don't pull it down in front of it, but it does give the box an unusual finish.
