I have a number of Awards to Pass On

These fabulous awards were passed onto me by my very dear friend Laura of http://misellopersonal.blogspot.com/ a really talent person who creates the most stunning scenes in a form of decoupage, I really dont know how she has the patience it must take her hours as they really are beautiful.

And this was passed onto me by Sylvia of http://sylvia-anne-poppyspapercraftpatch.blogspot.com/, another very talented lady who makes the most stunning cards, and because they all come with the need to pass them on, I would love to say to all of You that PLEASE take them for your own blog as I consider you are all my best friends and deserve them. I could list you all but it would take at me quite awhile so forgive me. A Card for Claire of Hope Jacare

Ive created this card for Claire of Hope Jacare, I promised her I would make a card with this digi stamp and I sincerely hope she likes my interpretation of it. This digi image is full of lovely nooks and crannies that you can colour and its called "Candyfloss Trees" with owls sitting in the holes in the trunks.

The image was printed out and coloured with my copic pens, after which Ive used MS glitters on the tree tops just to give it a little glitz.

The base card is a 7"x 7" white card, with a first layer of aqua blue card, Ive also used this for the mount and the sentiment, on this I have layered up one of three papers from the very new "Bearly Mine Designs" from Donna, she is the most talented lady I know, and these patterns are the staple ones we use like gingham, spots and flowers, Im sure you will find some beautiful designs in the sets as I have. The first paper I used was a lovely bluebell flower paper on white, and on top of this Ive used a aqua blue spotty paper and one of the Arches MS border punches which was stuck down the card, the last layer is a green gingham paper and this was also punched along the edges with a bird branch MS border punch, and this was stuck across the other two layers and a ribbon was positioned across the middle and attached to the back.

My mounted image was then stuck on top and my sentiment to the bottom on the right. The white materal flower is one of the new Prima range ones and the blue ones are ones I found in my stash, these were attached to the card with some silcone glue and some punched out fern leaves stuck underneath them. 

I also want to thank you all who left the most beautiful and touching comments yesterday on what was a difficult day for me, but also a very rewarding day in many ways. So thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.

 

A Day for Remembrance

Today is a very difficult day for me its 45 years since my gorgeous son Ian died from a Acute Lymphatic Leukaemia, he was just short of 6 months, as you can see in this photo he was 9 weeks old and a beautiful baby, he looks a lot older than he was, and in fact when they diagnosed his condition they though he was at least 6 months but in the time I had him he lived many years, he even cut a tooth and met his great, great grandma to. I should like to introduce you to all the people who are in this photo from left to right, thats me Shirley with my son Ian on my lap and my daughter Karen in the front, she was almost 3 years old, behind her is my sister Linda with her new husband, and my brother Robin on the right, I wont tell you how old we were but this was taken in 1965 and Im now 67 years old so you can figure it out for yourself, my sister is 6 years younger and my brother 4.

Anyway as I said today is rather a difficult day and I wanted to make it special as over the last year so many of us have lost very dear ones, I lost my mum in November and I know a number of you also have lost yours, and several of my dear friends have lost children to and are finding it extremly difficult to cope with their loss, I dont think we ever get over it but have to learn to live with it. So I wanted to let you know its ok to grieve and also dont let anyone stop you talking about the ones youve lost as it helps to, its even ok to cry if that helps. My own believe is that one day I will see my son again and he will be fit and well and running around, and even probably grown up as well.

Now the Bittersweet thing thats happened today is I received a email from my future granddaughter in law, she told me that she and my eldest grandson have booked the date for their wedding, mind you its two years

away but in their neck of the woods its a necessity to get the date you want. The ironic part is theyve picked a date between my mums Birthday and her Wedding Anniversary, the 18th of August 2012, which I find is a blessing as its like my mum has sent a message to say that its ok to live again and we can look forward to a wonderful future for the pair of them. So something good has come on a day I never look forward to, and the sun is out to.

Theres also one more thing Id like to promote and thats Kimmi's Race for Life thats shes taking part in on the 23rd of May, if you would like to sponser her or give her support please pop across to http://poppy-petal-designs.blogspot.com/ and do so as Cancer is one of those dreadful deceases that really need to be got rid of. 

Pink Gem Challenge - Burgandy, Pink and Green

Good Morning Girls, hope you havent got as busy day as I have, weve got the washing machine engineer due at anytime to have a look at my machine, and then weve got a parcel due by UPS so I suppose it means we are pretty house tied till both have been and gone, oh well never mind, it looks as though hubby will have to go swimming on his own. Anyway todays card has been created for the Pink Gem 4th Challenge, Burgandy Pink and Green, quite a combination dont you think, anyway I hope that Janet and team will accept my interpretation of that.

Ive used this cute image of Janets and coloured her with my copic pens, then used the oval nestabilitie die to cut her out, Ive also used the scalloped one for the mount and this has been done with red card. The sentiment is also one of Janets stamps and I felt it went well with the image.

The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of red card, and one of two papers, this first one is a freebie I got from one of the craft magazines it came in a pad of various red and pink papers. The second strip is a piece of the Henbury Lane papers that I had left and I used my MS border punch, on top of this have put two ribbons and attached them to the back.

The mounted image was stuck on to the left hand side and my sentiment to the botton on the right. To finish of Ive created two flowers from some left over paper and the Nellie Sneden flower punches and a pearl brad was pushed through the centers after which they were then stuck on a bed of fern punched out leaves.

Cards for Men Challenge Ten - "Outdoors"

Well what a fantastic response we are getting for our Challenges and I want to thank all you lovely girls and man who are regulars, its such a pleasure visiting your creations on a theme and seeing what fabulous differences so many of us can create. Anyway this fortnights challenge is being sponser by

Claire of Hope Jacare and she is offering 5 of her digi stamps as a prize. This fortnights challenge is to create a card with the theme of "Outside" and this is my interpretation with this lovely Skateboarder image from Claire's shop.

Ive coloured my image with my copic pens and cut it out with my rotatrim, after which Ive used some red ink to distress the edges. The image was then mounted onto a piece of red card. The sentiment is one of my craft stash, and I believe its one of Janets Pink Gem ones, this was also mounted onto a piece of red card which had been put through my cuttlebug and one of the double ended tag dies.

The base card is a 7"x 7" white card and my first layer is another piece of the same red card, and on top of this I have put two triangle pieces of paper from the Moxxie Skateboard Set, and along the seam Ive stuck a piece of tartan ribbon to disguise it. The image was then mounted in the center and my sentiment was stuck with brads to the bottom on the right hand side.

Whiff of Joy Challenge - A Sketch by Jane

Hi Girls, its windy here and raining, what a lovely weekend not one you can sit on the patio is it? Anyway my card today is created for the Whiff of Joy Challenge a sketch by Jane, I dont often enter this challenge but I do like the sketch and thought Id give it a go.

Ive used this lovely image and coloured it with my copic pens and promarkers so they both got an airing for this image. After this I actually had to use a template that would cover both of the characters, then created a mount for it out of red card, the sentiment is one of Whiff of Joys own and this was mounted in the same way on red card.

The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first layer of dark red card, and one of two papers from the new Henbury Lane paper pack from Papermania, Ive fallen in love with these papers but unfortunately you only get one paper of each pattern which does mean that you have to certain about using it. Anyway this first layer is a pretty pink one with a paler flower pattern all over it, the second paper is just a strip and Ive used one of my MS border punches on it. This has then been stuck to the base layer and a ribbon has been placed on top and fixed to the back of the first layer.

The image was then stuck to the left hand side and the sentiment to the bottom on the right. Ive then used my templates to create the flourishes at the top and some red gems were then stuck on the marks. To finish of Ive used another of my homemade lace flowers and stuck it on top of some punched out leaves.

Just Magnolia Challenge - "Two of a Kind"

Good Morning Girls, I hope you are all looking forward to a enjoyable weekend, or at least hoping that the weather is nice, anyway I want to wish you a happy one. Todays card has been created for this weeks Just Magnolia Challenge "Two of a Kind", which means that you have to use two of the Magnolia stamps, and I have used this sweet Tilda stamp writting her diary and a envelope for her to sit. Ive stamped them onto white card and coloured them with my copic pens, after which Ive used my Label Die No.9 to cut her out, and then used the same die to draw around to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one of the Magnolia ones, one I thought was appropriate for his image.

The card has been created into a 7"x 7" Easel card, and Ive used the new Papermania Henbury Lane papers, in fact Ive used two of the designs for both the inside and the out. Ive also used a pretty piece of lace and some ribbon threaded through it for the front, and a strip for the inside Ive used my large Martha Stewart punch. On both the front and the inside Ive used the flower edge punch from MS, not so easy to see with the inside.

I then stuck my mounted image in the centre of the front page, and created a flower arrangement for the top left hand side corner with a beautiful big rose and several smaller flowers for the spray.

This is a Special Post - Surprise for you all A New Creator

We have a very new digi stamp creator in our midst and as she only came on line yesterday I thought Id give her a big boost its Lyn of Spyders Web a really lovely lady who's been doodling for quite awhile, and we never realised just how talented she is, I was lucky as I was sent a doodle of hers and this is what I came up with

a New Home card, this gorgeous little hedgehog sitting in this flowerpot decided to me that it could be a New Home card and Ive coloured him with my copic pens. I used the new No.12 Label Nestabilitie to cut him out then drew around the die to create the mount. The sentiment is one that I had in my stash, I believe its a Hobby Arts one, but carnt be totally sure.

The base card is 7"x 7" white card with a first layer of blue pearlescent card, and one of three papers from Kay Millers Downloads she has some really lovely downloads to and they are really funky some of them. This first paper is a pretty aqua paper with flowers and leaves on, the second paper Ive cut into a 5" square its a striped paper and used my new Flower design Martha Stewart all around punch set on, its been set in a diamond shape, and on top of this Ive used my last paper a lime green paper with a leaf pattern on and with the same punch, then stuck it across the middle. On top of this I have stuck a lace strip, over which Ive stuck my mounted image, and my sentiment underneath towards the right hand side.

Now for a change Ive created a flower from some lace and some of my beads, hope you like it, I bought some Prima ones similar to this and thought Id have a go to see if I could create one to. This has been stuck on top of some punched out fern leaves.

I do hope you will pop over and visit Lyn's new Digi Stamp shop, as its new shes still getting more images up, but what she already has to offer are fabulous, so I do hope you will support her in her new venture.

Card for two Challenges - Mo and Cute Card Thursday

Hi Girls sorry Ive not been around for a couple of days, but yesterday was our big shopping day, we go to Cardiff once a month to do a big shop, and as its 42 miles away it takes at least 5 hours to do it, what with the travelling and putting it away when we get back, there isnt much energy left to do much else.

Anyway todays card has been created for two Challenges yet again, Mo's "Anthing to do with Water" and Cute Card Thursdays "Masculine" so Ive used this gorgeous image of Mo's to create a rain/puddle scene. Ive printed it onto white card then coloured it with my copic pens, after which I cut it out with my Octagon Nestabilitie die, and I also created the mount with some dark blue card and a slightly larger die. The sentiment is one of My Favorite Things Clear Stamp set, which actually arrived this week from Simon Says, so it couldnt be better, this was also mounted on a piece of left over blue card.

The base card is a 7"x 7" white card, with a first layer of dark blue card, and two of three papers from the Nitwit Downloads called Puddle Jumping, and these were stuck for a first layer and over the seam Ive stuck a strip of dark clouds (the third paper) which I have along both sides used a Martha Stewart Border punch, its one with holes and felt they looked a bit like rain drops.

The mounted image was stuck in the centre with the sentiment underneath. To finish of Ive stuck four gems down the edge on the right just to give it a bit more glitter. Hope that your like it.

A Card for Someone Special

Morning Girls it looks as if its going to be a nice day the sun is out and theres not to many clouds in the sky, lets hope it means that the weather is going to start improving and we might just be getting backto our warmer days again. Firstly I want to thank you for the lovely comments so many of you left me over my Tutorial, I would if Id had several pairs of hands risked filming it, but when my hubby tried to do a trial run, the results would have made you feel you were on a roller coaster, as his zooming in and out was a bit YUK.

Anyway todays card has been created for a couple of friends of mine whos Wedding Anniversary is October, I thought this was such a pretty image from Lili of the Valley and Im hoping that they will accept it.

The papers are the new Henbury Hall set from Papermania, there are some really pretty papers in the pack, but unfortunately there is only one paper for each pattern which seems a shame.

Ive stamped her onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens, finishing of with some stickles to give it a bit of glitter. I then cut her out with my Nestabilitie Label 12, and mounted her onto the Fair Isle pendant.

The card for me is a 6"x 6" size which is not one I usually use but the papers arnt wide enough for a 7" card so Ive had to resort to cutting me base card down by a inch. The first layer is a pretty blue pearlescent card with the one of two papers Ive used from the pad set, a pretty blue rose paper, on top of which Ive created a square with one of the blue stripped paper and a all around punch set from Martha Stewart.

I must apologise before we go any further that the mounted image isnt quite straight, hope it doesnt spoil the card to much, I also stuck a piece of lace with ribbon threaded through underneath the image on top of my square. The sentiment is one of my craft stash, I believe its from the Hero Arts set.

To finish of Ive created a flower with some of the left over paper, and popped a spacer and pearl brad through the centre before sticking it to my card on top of some punched out leaves.

How to make a Floral Punch Craft Rose Tutorial

This is the first stage punch out with the Jumbo Balloon punch 20 pieces, these will form the large petals, also punch out 10 of the large heart 1.5" to create the smaller inner petals, these will now need to be cut in half to create 20 small petals, the small circle punch creates the base that the petals will be attached to and the long strip (it needs to be about 12cm long) for the stamens in the centre.

As you can see in this photo I have snipped along edge of this strip ready to roll it and stick the end down.

The next stage is to take the half hearts and using that Deet tool you see in the photo, the knife edge bring the moulding pad to the edge of the desk, and roll the knife edge from the centre bottom pivoting it across the top in a circular motion, this creates a cup effect, these will be stuck in the centre of the larger petals after they are moulded.

The next thing is to create the petals and this is a little more tricky, firstly you need to spoon the petal by using the ball end of the Deet tool in the centre at the bottom and make it into a spoon looking petal, then turn it over and using the knife edge end, roll the edges back to create the curling on the edges of the petals. I hope you can see this effect on those that I have already done on the left handside in the photo.

The next step is to use strong PVA glue to stick the half heart petals on to the larger petals at the base, you will need to leave them to dry for the next stage.

This is how you start to build up your rose, by sticking the first two petals opposite each other on the small circle cut out, this also stops it popping up while you are sticking the other petals on.

This is the first layer stuck to the centre, and you really need to leave this to dry for 5 mins it makes things a bit easier, I have actually stuck 8 petals to this base layer, but as you start you will find what suits your tastes it might be less or it might be more, you need to weave the petals on top of one another to get the right balance.

Here I have just finished fitting in the second layer of petals you might find you need to push them around to get them to go into place once youve stuck all your petals in, I think I probably used another 6 petals on this layer.

For the third layer I just pushed in the last of my petals to give it a bit more fullness then stuck my centre in with some more of the PVA glue. Its entirely upto you how many layers you want, wether its a wild rose with less layers or a old fashioned ross with tight petals the world is your oyster, its entirely upto you. I hope that this helps you decide whether you want to have a go at Floral punch Craft and there are some really lovely books to get hold of, I love creating paper flowers that look real and I got my love from the Leonie Em books and you will find them in most of the craft online shops.

 

A Brief Tutorial of creating Roses

I was asked last night how I created my red rose at the moment I only seem to have this photo of a pink rose so for now I will try and explain how they are created, and in fact this pink one is a bit easier to see.

You start by punching out with the balloon punch 26 shapes, these are then moulded with my Teet tool which is a double ended tool for Floral Punch craft, I will I promise create some photos to see this in stages. The idea is is mould the balloon shape, then cut out 12 of the heart shapes, cut them into two mould them and stick them in the centres of the balloon shapes as you can see, this packs out the shape.

The actual rose starts a small circle and the petals are then stuck to the outside of this for the first layer and as it dries you then put a second layer in between the first set of petals, gradually filling up towards the centre of the rose, it takes about 5 layers, the centre of the rose is a long piece of paper and you snip the edge along and the roll it to then create a form of stamens which is then stuck in the centre of the rose.

I sincerely hope this helps to give you a start, I will stick another photo below for you see close up the finish roses. If you click on the photos you will get a closer view of them.

Sir Stampalot Challenge - "Blossoms and Butterflies"

Hi Girls, I hope you are having a good weekend, though I suspect like me youve had quite a bit of rain over the last 24 hours. Weve been to Didcot today to visit the Railway Museum and Exhibition, my hubby loves steam engines and I took over 80 photos (not all brilliant) and he took nearly 90 photos himself so hes been having great fun looking at them since we got back this afternoon.

Ive created a picture for this challenge as I felt that it would be nice to do something different as this rose would get a bit squashed if I tried to put it into an envelope if it was attached to a card. The rose, and the sprays of flowers were all created from paper, and built up in layers, then attached to a base sheet of card again in layers to get the spray effect, I also tied a bow and attached it to the stems. The butterflies were created from a piece of rainbow paper and stuck in random places afterwards.

I hope you like the end result, I will now be hanging  the frame on the wall in my craft room. I should have said that I created this picture with the help of the Leonie Em Floral Punch craft Book, she has made a similar picture, but I think you will find that I have a lot more small white flowers than she has. I will look to find some of the photos I took when creating my roses.

Pink Gem Challenge - Special Birthdays 1, 13, 18, 21 etc,

My card for this special birthday challenge is a 13 birthday card for a young lad just starting his teens, and Ive used this lovely image of Miki in his football gear and coloured him with my copic pens then I cut him out with my oval nestabilitie die, I also created a mount with some blue pearlescent card and my scalloped die. The football badge is another of Janets stamps and the sentiment is a Hero Arts one with gold numbers stuck in the middle.

The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first layer of blue card and one of three papers that Ive printed from the "Kick it" Nitwit download set, the first layer is a green paper with a football field drawn on it in white, the second paper is greetings paper with all sorts of messages for a footballer, and the third is all over football design, Ive used a border punch on both of these and stuck them across the middle of the first layer afterwards I stuck a football ribbon around to the back of the first layer.

Ive then stuck my image to the left hand side and my sentment and badge to the right. To finish of Ive stuck two footballs and boots along the bottom of my card.

Just Magnolia Challenge - Bev's Sketch

Hi Girls, talk about starting one card then ending up creating one for another challenge, thats what happened to me today, the problem was I printed these lovely papers and decided it was just right for this image and of course like most ladies I got side tracked into this Challenge for Just Magnolia and this week its a lovely easy sketch by Bev.

The image was already for me to use as Id stamped it and coloured it awhile back and had never used it, and as Ive still got two challenge cards to create I cheated and decided to use this one for my Just Magnolia challenge this week. Ive actually masked Tilda to sit her on the honey pot, then cut around the bottom of it to use the mega ovals to cut her out. I did colour her with my copic pens and the sentiment is a lovely one from Stampin Up, a set I bought from the lovely Angela whos just become agent for them, and Ive been itching to try out these lovely flight stamps, though its actually a butterfly in the box Ive used it as a flight for the bumblebee.

The papers are some really lovely ones from the Karen Miller Designs, she has a 40% discount over the bank holiday so its worth a trip to discover some of her beautiful designs. Ive used this pretty orange and yellow paper for my first layer and Ive mounted it onto orange card. The second layer is a orange check design and Ive used the Flower border and corner punches from Martha Stewart to create this square.

Over the top Ive stuck some lace and bright orange and white ribbon across the centre and attached it to the back of the first layer, this was then stuck to my base 7"x 7" white card, the image was then stuck in the centre and I created a flower from some of the left over papers. This was then stuck to my card on top of some punched out Maidenhair fern leaves. To finish of Ive used some pretty gems in swirls at the top and bottom of my card. I do hope you like the end result.

A Card for Two Challenges - Mo's and Cute Card Thursday

Good Afternoon Girls, sorry Im late posting my card today, but Ive been rather busy this morning and didnt get around to making the card till after we had our lunch. By the way its also pouring of rain in Gloucestershire so Ive no doubt the garden will be the best thing to benefit from it. It seems such a shame that the lovely weather we have been getting used to seems to have gone. Oh well such is Life.

I created my card for two challenges this week, Mo's "Masculine" and Cute Card Thursdays "Anything Homemade". Ive used this lovely little image of a little lad in his first car by Mo titled "Zoom" and coloured it with my copic pens afterwards I used one of my Nestabilitie dies to cut him out. The sentiment is one of Hero Arts one and I thought it was quite appropriate for this image.

The three papers Ive used on this card are from the Beep Beep Collection from Nitwit Downloads, oh while I think of it, theyve got a good sale over the May bank holiday if you are interested in picking up a good bargain. The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with the first layer of blue card with my first patterned paper, the centre two, which arnt straight deliberately are firstly a blue and white check paper with a second red and white check paper positioned on top, for this one Ive used the family punch around all four edges.

The mounted image was stuck in the centre of my card and my sentiment to the bottom on the right hand side.

To finish of Ive created two windmills, and by gum they were tricky to create because they were of a small size, but I found the tutorial on the internet and it was to say the least extremely useful. Hope you like it.

Challenge Card for LOV - Sketch by Bev Rochester

 Good Afternoon Ladies, Im so sorry Ive not been around for the last couple of days, weve been busy again and this morning we really went to town and dug up my once lovely bottlebrush plant, unfortunately it died in all that nasty cold and freezing weather we had during the winter months, so I swopped it for my hardy white fushia bush, I just hope that it survives being moved, as they arnt that easy to obtain.

Anyway I thought for a change I would create a card for the Lili of the Valley challenge, its the first time Ive done it, and I used this gorgeous image that my lovely friend Claire sent me in my blogcandy that I won about a month ago. Sorry Claire for taking so long before using it. Anyway I stamped it onto white card and coloured it with my copic pens then cut it out with my circle Nestabilitie die and created a mount for it with some pink card and a circle Scalloped die to. The sentiment is one of Hero Arts this has been stamped and mounted onto a ribbon die cut.

The base card is 7"x 7" white card with a first layer of pink card and one of two papers from the Papermania Pink Parfait paper pack, a pretty all over flower pattern, the second piece is a pretty pink paper and I used the new Daisy Flower border punch along both the two edges. On top of this I popped a pink and white ribbon thats been threaded through the ribbon die cut and fixed to the back of the first layer.

The flowers were created from some of the left over paper and a dark pink/red paper from the same paper pack, these were stuck to the card on top of the leaf punch outs and on top of this Ive stuck some flower buttons which I have threaded some narrow ribbon through the holes and tied into bows. The last thing is the two heart gems stuck to the top on the right hand side. I also used some stickles on the winges, flowers and her tiara.

Cards for Men - Challenge Nine - "Monochrome/Anniversary"

Wow here we are at Challenge Nine, and for the last challenge we had over 50 entries, well done girls hope you enjoyed taking part, this one is a little more easier or at least I think so, you need to create a card that incorporates " Monochrome" but to help you Donna also decided to add the Wedding Anniversary aspect as well, so good luck hope it doesnt cause you to much difficulty if it does you will have to blame her.

Here is my card for the Challenge, Ive actually created it for a very dear pair of friends of mine, they are quite young and funky so I felt although its supposed to be basically masculine this also does well as a couple card as well.

Ive used my Just-Rite stamps for this card, the  main image is a beautiful Poppy image which I have coloured with my Faber Castell Prisma pencils and the sentiment is another of the same make of stamps, both were cut out with the circle Nestabilitie die punch and the mount which I have used a lovely beige card was cut with the scalloped die.

The base card is a 6.50"x 5.50" size card with a first layer of the same beige card, and one of three papers that I received in my Making Cards magazine this month, I really felt the colurs went down well for this card. I know Ive not totally kept to the same colour tone on the colouring but your hardly likely to find a beige/brown poppy so I hope I get forgiven by my leader for taking liberties.

Mo Mannings Challenge - "1 Ribbon, 2 Buttons or Brads and 3 Designer Papers"

Hi Girls, well if was a very busy day yesterday and I even managed to get one more Challenge card done to.

I got my pillows of my bed washed and back on my bed by 6 oclock and two sets of curtains washed, ironed and hung back up to, so Im gradually getting the Spring Cleaning done and with this beautiful weather it certainly helps to.

Anyway this card is created for this weeks Challenge from Mo 1 ribbon, 2 buttons or brads, and 3 designer papers. And Ive used this gorgeous young lass Jordon "Multitasking" and we ladies know all about that dont we? Ive printed her onto white card and used my copic pens to colour her, sorry Im back to using them again. Anyway I then used my Nestabilitie Label Die 9 to cut her out and created a mount by drawing around the edge of it, I also used a sentiment I had in my stash, this one is a Stampin Up one. Ive cut it out and mounted it the same as a my image.

The base card is a 7"x 7" card and Ive used a Teal coloured card for both the mounts and the first layer on my card, Ive used three papers from my Nitwit Downloads for the card, I scouted around all my downloads to find the right colour combinations. The first one is a ring type pattern and the second is a leaf pattern, on which Ive used a Martha Stewart border and corner punch and then stuck this on top of the base layer. The third layer is a strip that Ive punched along both edges with the same border punch and this was stuck down the card with a ribbon mounted on top and attached at the back of the first layer.

I then stuck my mounted image on top, and my sentiment to the bottom on the right. The flowers are some from my craft stash, and the two buttons have then been threaded with some sparkly green cord tied and stuck to the top on the right hand side.
